Our local sports shop is selling off a couple of Kippax Vitra Fireblades. Lovely pick up, but I've never seen anyone use them. They have an interesting back story regarding flooded fields and willow farming, but I'm intrigued to know whether they are actually any good?

Quite a few being used in our leagues up north. Can't say I've ever seen a bad one mate. The wavex handles look a bit special as well. Don't think the vitra fireblades are G1 though

Various stories regarding the business have done the rounds but i think by and large they're not bad. I've got one and its decent performance wise, i have heard of a few issues with the handles on quite a few though.

I had one and it went like a rocket! Broke towards the end of the second season of use but it had been used 2 or 3 times a week with nets and game use plus i go through bats quickly anyway so longevity shouldn't be a problem. :)

my brother had a vitra fire blade, very average bat nothing special

I have a Kippax Legend LE with wavex handle and has served me well but cracked on the side earlier this season. Tapping off the mallet it is no where near as good as my blueroom bat.
