Hi all,
Got a draft run of our new Bulldog SpiriT20 stickers today. Would appreciate you constructive comments before we go for the final production run.
Actual bat is 2lb 12oz with an inch shorter blade. We do these also in 2 inch shorter blade and standard blade. Massive 40mm plus edges. Can do this actual bat for £180 inc delivery if anyone interested.

like to compare to other items, its a good a means as any to ensure comparison between edges.

yea LOL, as they were only a draft run we did not have them punched out. So if you look at the edge sticker its a bit wonky as I have just cut them out by hand.

first impressions then guys is that you like the stickers ? would you change anything ?

like the stickers, although possibly remove the bulldog face, or at least have it as an option, some people might find it a touch gaudy?
LIke 2 options on stickers, one with and one without ?

I wouldn't as they are bold and stand out from the crowd which is what you want aren't going to be everyones cup of tea but hey they are cool in my book

not sure removing the brand logo is a wise idea ??? doubling the amount required printing is just spoiling u customers

Well the wisden criticised us this year for not having the Bulldog face, hence we have put him back on !! can't please everyone but would be good to appeal to the majority.

ahh fair enough, but i think to widen your appeal you can go both ends of the spectrum , big and brash and statement and then the more discreet like the pedigree ones.

I do like them - the grey plain ones are ok, and I know you were going for the plain but classy look.
And the classic plain grey ones are ok for a slimmer more classic bat.
But I reckon with a thumping powerful huge profile, those stickers would suit it more?

Cheers Pete that means alot. Yea its a T20 bat so needs to be a bit brash, just like T20 itself.

Kieron, those are brilliant - I thouroughly approve of them. I wouldn't change them, infact I'd expand out the brand from there.

Thanks guys for the comments. We don't have a great deal of money to spend on design so its been a bit trial and error over the last couple of years for us. Hope we are getting there.....slowly.
We are thinking of having the Pedigree stickers with the union jack theme but with the union jack being in black, silver and white.
What do you think ?

Yea we did think of that but we thought British Bulldog / Union Jack worked better.

Yeah I agree the stickers look great, though you could afford to think up so more variations; but i'm liking the British bulldog idea atm

The only change I would make is to the toe sticker.
I would make the union jack a little slimmer and running diagonally across the toe, but possibly keep the Spirit20 the same - a little similar to the pic below?

Not sure if it would look better or not - hard to tell unless you see a bat with both on!
But either way, the stickers work! 8)

hi Kieron, the new stickers look fantastic i cant wait to get my hands on a set, when you go into full production a union jack bat grip would put the icing well and truly on the cake,
also just to let you know the eagle has landed, couldn't resist having a quick ping with an old ball and Jesus it goes like s**t of a stick.

Glad you like the bat. They are big bits of wood arnet they ?
Best to knock it in with either an old ball or a bat mallet. Concentrate on the edges and toe first, gently rounding the edges over, you can then knock the rest of the blade in. Somewhere between 1 hour and 3 hours should do it (depending on what you use) There is some further info on our website.
Yes, as soon as I have the production SpiriT20 stickers I will get some in the post to you. Should be a couple of weeks.

not to upset people, but i think i have a monster on my hands, i will do my best to keep it under control with the knocking in tips.

please tell everbody you know, you have created a phenomenal bat. I'm frighted just knocking it in. (my team mates are scared. (shi**ing bricks)

I really really like the stickers, but I was just wondering what it would look like if the the Union Jack wasnt wavy but straight?

I think these new stickers could make a massive difference, they look fun,classy and high quality bats with those stickers. Before they just looked like good bats.

Dave et all, glad you like the new stickers. We have just had the proofs through for the complete range and they look great. All have a union jack theme but with the Spirit being the only one in red white and blue. Should have them ready in a couple of weeks.
ps - that actual bat is still for sale if anyone is interested. Its a gun.....
