Title: question about presses?
Post by: Beachcricket on September 21, 2010, 10:26:59 AM
Please can someone tell me what brands/types of press are out there? or if they are custom made. The only brand I can find is "D E CRICKET BAT PRESS" but this doesn't look like Salix's.

For those that have them you'd be hard pressed [pardon the pun] to find out anything about them so I wouldn't expect an answer

Ad there's no point in pressing for an answer!  :(

Contact Mohit at MJ International, he can get you a press made in India and ship it.

For UK made you are looking at a custom job.

I dread to think of the costs involved for sending a press overseas!

£500 or less, only £1000 for a new one.

For the press + postage?

£1500 in total, but they are very basic, just for show really as they are limited as to the work you can do with them. You are looking at £20k for something to perform.

Thanks for the replies, I assumed it was guarded information. I'm trying to learn a bit more about the processes. Do most batmakers/podshavers own their own presses or do they share and charge for a service?
