Title: H4L Kit Bag
Post by: TheBoyLegend on September 21, 2010, 02:10:25 PM

I've been looking for a new Kit Bag for next season and Just wondered if anyone else had got one of the Hell4Leather ones?

They look Huge on the site but couldn't see if there was a slot or compartment for your bat or not?

Think it may be quickly followed by the matching pads and gloves (well it'd be a shame not have them matching eh??) Anyone with any thoughts on these too?

It'd be nice to have something different to everyone else at the club (NEWBERRY,KOOKA,GM ZZZZZZZZZ)

I have not used the H4L Bag, But i used currently the SS Northants bag, its a very large bag, and is a bargain at around £30

I've got a Salix Pod Pro bag which I've not seen anyone else with, has a two bat tunnel and plenty of room for full kit. Think they look classy and understated.

I'm currently looking for a new bag as well, I was looking at the H4L one the other day and it looks very nice - but i think im going to wait for the new seasons stock before purchasing a bag, as no bags are really cheap at the moment.

100 x 40 x 40? Also I have never got on with a bat tunnel, but would simply recommend a bat cover. I am impressed by the apperance of the H4L bag, but dont have one myself. I have the GN PP Duffle, and rate it as the best bag I have ever used......

See I have a little bit of OCD when it comes to bags and prefer everything to have a pocket/separator And it makes life easier having the bats in or attached to the bag.

I was quite interested in the GM LE Deluxe bag as well but again I just really liked the look of the H4L one and as all the pics on the site only show it from one side didn't know if the "Out of View" side had a sleeve for the bat.

Cant believe no one on here has got one of these they look awesome!

And no ones mentioned there softs they look top notch no?   8)

i have had an albion pro test, the enormous one, and apart from the grief you get for having one, i found it easy to wheel and good if you've got a large amount of kit.

Currently I've got the Puma 5000 bag the new one and it doesn't have a seperater and wore out easily so wouldn't recommend it/

Am looking to get a Chase I think as I'm heading down there at half-term. Are they any good?

I think the H4L softs look very classy IMO and would imagine the protection to be top rate from what i've heard .

Not having a car, on match days I have to travel with someone else and usually away changing are very compact shall we say, and this means I need a very compact bag that holds everything I need (as I sometimes keep), I find that my GN PP Duffle holds everything I need with ease, and has compartments for afterwards (deodrant, dosh, drinks, food, shoesetc etc).

Like you, I used to have a thing for everything being seperated, but fell out with this as it simply wasnt very practical for nets whe you have 2/3 minutes to pad up. The best bag at my club is the big Salix (not stand up) or the Newbery UZI apx I think, both are simply throw all your kit into the bag and offer superior room to any other bag on the market IMO. I have had the Newbery SPS bag and used the Kookaburra 1000 bag and GM Original duplex bag, all 3 have lots of space, but aren't very practical. I think you'll find that bags such as the GM Duplex dont hold the Morrant pads either, the choice is yours.

Although I dont have the H4L bag I pretty much have everything else Matt has on offer, I honestly cant rate his kit high enough! I have 3 of his bats, softs, and inner and outer thigh pads and they are some of the best kit ive ever had. . . . . I just cant wait to get my hands on a new Hattori and matching softs!! haha

Oh and just to add dont get the GM LE Duplex bag it is sh**e . . . the missus got me one this summer and its awful, yes loads of compartments but just no room! Like choppy ive got a duffle bag plus a gym bag for my clothes/whites and its perfect!

They might well be, but honestly, how practical are they? It wouldnt surprise me if the best selling bag this sumer was something like the Kookaburra 600/800, GM Original LE, Puma 5000 or a duffle......

I replaced the Albion with the Salix. The Albion went to Jamaica with us and we could have secreted some of the smaller mambers of the team in it and smuggled them on the plane. It's ma-housive and very heavy. The complaining when it was hoiked on and off the tour bus was profound....

Just too big.

Yes, but I found that it also secured me a nice spot in the changing room ;)

Hi Dan

Which Pads did you opt for and did he do you a deal on gloves and pads together? don't start on me on bats as well that 666 I'm sure is using all its devilish power on me to buy!

I Agree with you on the ease of use in the nets etc and I do use a duffle bag for when I'm going to nets but I just prefer on Match days to have everything in its place in the one bag and it all slides into the back of the car very nicely (the joys of a large boot)

(and having it in the one bag at home tends to help with the missus too)

Was the GM really that bad? it looks Huge!??

My softs are the 09 ones. . . .the all white ones? Superb!! I actually got a bundle offer from Matt last xmas for the bat and softs together and I think it was £260 all in which was great value! Not sure if he offers the same anymore tho mate. Im actually gonna be selling one of my bats . . . Excel LE (the one under 'Unique Offer' in the H4L section) next week if you fancy taking a look! haha

Mate the bag is awful, its bulky because of all the compartments, bat cave etc but its just no good there is barely space for your cricket kit!! This will also be going on sale next week!! haha

Hmmm I'll keep an eye out for the customdan sale next week then!

Hmm well hopefully h4l will see this and let us all know about any packages that may or may not be available ;)

I have one. It is huge. Has helmet pocket, boot meshed pocket, 2 pockets on 1 side and 1 on the other. I can easily fit all my kit, whites, trainers and 3 bats.

Is it similar to the old albion one? nickednamed the "brickhouse" in my club when i had it! Indestructable, massive, truely huge! and beeped when i pulled it backwards!

When you have  one of those Albions, no-one else can get in the changing room, and the smaller members of the team use it as one.

As part of an 'experiment' we managed to fit my mate in my aero bag!
And he did fit in!
