Can anyone tell me what the difference is? Are they identical in appearance and just different levels of padding?
-
The P1 has an enlarged hip protection , and i think the thighs are bigger, some people find them bulky, but they are different levels of padding, and different amounts of padding, all depends on what surface you play on and what pace you face :)
-
I don't think there is much difference cosmetically!
but the protection level is the main thing.
If you play against very quick bowlers then P1 would be better.
But against more medium paced bowlers, then P3 or P2 would suffice!
-
Ahh thanks, I don't think i've faced anything quicker than 80mph so I doubt i'll need the P1's if they're only for really quick bowling, thanks for the help.

There are other decent extra padding.
I use Remfrys which are as light as a feather, but you would barely feel an 80mph ball!!
But some of these brands are very expensive!!

iv got a mate who plays in our prem league and faces some pretty nippy bowlers , he uses the p2s and is plenty happy with there protection
-
Yeah, but I couldn't justify spending any more than about £40 on thigh pads and remfrys are about £100 aren't they?

The p1's also have a little bum pad for you!
They are also quite bulky, i have medium p2's but the medium p1's are too big for me as the extra protection makes them bulky
