Whats the best/favourite wicket you have ever got? Im a keeper but i bowled once and bowled this guy a bouncer... he hit it and it went up in the air dropped down hit his helmet and i caught it!!!
-
I think for me it has to be when I was on four wickets, just got my fourth in fact, and I had one ball left in my 12 over spell. Left hander came in, I came around the wicket, bowled him, first ball, hit the top of off stump for my second ever 5-for, my 1st of the season, was well chuffed! ;D
-
I was on a hattrick ball and also had 4 wickets, bowled an awful leg stump full toss and he just flicked it straight to square leg. I was well happy
-
Mine was probably last year 1st game of the season, opening the bowling. 1st ball I run up against one of my county mates, bowled a ball that swung away and seamed back in and took off stuff out, was well chuffed!! He just smiled at me and probably knew he'd been done! ;D
-
Only wicket for County (very occasional leggie); pitched outside leg, hit top of off. Absolutely no exaggeration, I'm a big turner of the ball because I don't put any topspin on!
-
First district wicket, arm ball, nicked behind. 8)
-
best wickets are when a guy shapes up to play a forward defensive shot and you spin the ball right through his defense. got a few like that!
-
moved the ball from outside leg and got the top of off. ball-of-the-century-esque
-
well from a keepers perspective the best wickets are the nice gentle knics which come through at about waist hight.
-
most likely when the opening batsmen on 56 charged me and tried to slog me. I pitched the ball a little shorter and is spun away from the batsman, easy stumping ;D
-
just recently got a better one, big turner, batsmen left it and it spun back and hit off ;D
-
Had One Similar To Those Mentioned Before.... OS Round The Wicket To A Left Hander.... Pitched Outside Leg, gripped Turned n Hit Off. Exact Same Ball To A RH On The Drive.... So Round The Wicket Pitched Outside Off n Hit Leg.
My Other 2 Favorites Are When I Bowled A Left Hander Round His Legs From Around The Wicket & When I Flighted One Up Outside The Offstump.... You Could See The Batsmens Eyes Light Up..... But It Was A Doosra :) No Where Near It .... Keeper Loved Taking That Stumping :L As The Batsmen Had Said He Was Gunna Hit Me For 6 Apparently :P
-
Guy left the ball a foot outside leg stump and it ripped back and took his middle bail! That and I bowled a ball on leg which hit the top of off stump beating the outside edge.
-
Stumping a guy who was waiting for an LBW verdict
-
i was on a hatrick ball yesterday.. first two i got out with straight skidding deliveries..one hit middle stump, second one hit off stump.. my next hatrick ball was wide of offstump but defended by the batsmen.
these 2 were my best wickets since I bowled them both the same way, and made me feel confident and consistent.
Both pitched on legish and were seaming away to right handed batsmen.. I was bowling left arm over the wicket
ps. at the interval, i had to check the mirror, since i thought i was Ryan Sidebottom.. but it was just me..Sameer ::)

Bowled some batsman who was on 64 around the legs ;)
-
In an academy match which Ed was captaining, i took a ball that missed off by about an inch and made a loud 'ooohhh' noise. The offensive batsman turns to me and says ''What's 'ohhhh' about?'' I dont reply. The next ball the bowler slips it down leg and i take the ball and remove the bails with the batsman nearly 6'' out of his ground. I then reply.
'THAT'S WHAT IT'S ABOUT...VILLAGE!!'

I think it has to be the ball that i bowled that pitched outside leg and swung so much that it hit top of off stump. It was an absloute cracker of a ball even if i do say so myself.
-
late swing is the bain of my life being a keeper and opening bat......
-
I play in the staffs league and we played on an awful wicket which resembled a badly kept allotment. It was at Rodbaston College.
Well If you pitched the ball just outside the righ handers off stump and just short of a good length one would get vicious bounce coupled with amazing in movement. Took 6 that day and id never been called Brett Lee ever or since!! Not bad for a 60-65mph dibbly dobbler methinks lol.
-
Did you call yourself brett lee?
-
Lols no my teamates did though the sarcasm was obvious. Im more of a salim malik/ steve waugh type but slower lol.
-
probably a chinaman pitching on off stump and hitting the batsmen on the helmet

Typical schoolboy banter...
Speaking of which, I also look back favourably on talking 'nickroe92' out of his wicket twice this summer when his team were looking set (as well as sledging him as batsman to keeper). Those wickets would be fairly far up my list!
-
There has been a few a full length dive, a sweep off the back of the bat diving low to a spinner and stumpings off both spinners and quicks, love them all! The best are the ones noone expects yoy to catch tho!
-
probably a chinaman pitching on off stump and hitting the batsmen on the helmet
Im right handed therefore I cant be a chinaman...I am a dibbly dobbler though but lethal on a wet cabbage patch laden 'pitch'....
-
im a left hand bowler who angles it a cross the right hander anyways
best wicket - pitched outside off and he nicked it to first slip for a great catch!
-
my bowling is pants!
my right arm everythings are terrible but in junior cricket, everyone has to bowl.
on the back of a lucky 2fer the week before, we were playing the reigning premiers.
i trundled in and some big fella knicked it through to the keeper, 2 overs later i bowled some poor bloke after it skided on a wet synthetic. next ball, i bowled their captain with a yorker. i was ecstatic.
hat trick ball was a no-ball :D
-
mine was in a league game where it had rained all night and we had to play on an artificial wicket, i bowled this guy a ball which was so wide it bounced on the grass beside the artificial, and the batter slapped it straight to point, i was so embarrassed!
