hi folks,

if I wanted to fix a couple of toe and face cracks and in general clean up the bat, what tools would I need?

wood glue,clamp,sander?

depends on the severity of the damage - a heavy sanding will get rid of lots of wear and tear and light cracks in the face , toe cracks can be more complicated , i always stay away from wood glue personally .

i just sand the face really, got an electrical sander, couple of different grades of sandpaper. then just use some real fine stuff to get it smooth. i never really know what to do with the toe either with regards to cleaning it, although i dont mind it being abit dirtied up!

Get some pictures of the toe and then people may be able to help you more.
