Title: CJI Sumo LE Equivalent
Post by: tim2000s on September 29, 2010, 09:50:08 PM
I was looking at the CJI Sumo Limited Edition, which just seems massive, and wondered how easy it would be to get something similar and how much it might cost. The Kashmir willow version costs around £60, with a grade 2 coming in around £130. Anyone care to point out where similar monster bats might be found?

I have 2 clefts ready to be made that would be able to give you 75mm edges and 100mm+ spine, not sure what if any profile you would have and what the weight would be but may have a finished one within a week. They are perfect grade 1 English willow but can always do a deal.

That would be huge!   Can't imagine they'd be much under 4lb! :o

I'm looking at about 2.10, maybe 2.11 with a grip, anti scuff and a toe guard.

Not sure, I do have a very unusual bat with 50-60mm edges kicking around, a mate borrowed it for the summer and it has not made it onto the forum yet, even though those in the know have seen it a the last top secret forum net. I may grab it back and put it up for sale on here as it looks very unlikely that my mate will pay me for it. That bat weighs about 2.10 in reality.

It is a laminate but something I've only read about before, I'll start a thread on it as soon as I have the bat back.
