Here's some done by B&B, they are the cheapest around, very good quality and most importantly they are very quick with the turn-around, the ones pictured being completed in less than a week. Also got a pair of Adidas Adizero's being done at the minute.

They are very light and comfy perfect for batting long periods, I've got the blue one's also, but use them for other purposes highly recommend Asics although the Adidas I'm getting done are very nice, as are the Supernovas which Punt uses. The prices from BB are the best, they are;

Half spike - £22.50
Full spike - £27.50
Half/Half - £29.00

Prices include return postage..

BucketBrainGreg, when you bat do you have to ask the non striker what shot to play each time the bowler releases the ball?

Greg they are Asics gel cumulus 9, have a look around the net to find best price. Tom has given you the adress, simply send a cheque and the trainers to the adress given, state what you want doing, and include a cheque for that amount payable to B. Jennings.

the best trainers to get spiked up are asics gel 100-tr, they have better support and protection than the runner style trainers that gramw posted above, jimmy anderson uses them as does trescothick and many more
i will be getting a pair this season,

Greg the Gel 1120's are nice, I've got a pair of these, they aren't spiked though but are nice and light and will do the job.

Right, i am getting some Asics gel cumulus 9 trainers spiked up. I need some adice on what to get done though. I bowl off spin and open the batting for my club. Do you think I should get full spike or the half spike with the dimples at the back? Cheers,

Post by: umar on November 24, 2008, 03:59:34 PM
buckethandsgreg I play exactly the same role as you for my club and I went for half spikes with rubber pimples at the back this season and they worked wonders for me, so i recommend them mate.
Title: Re: Spiked Trainers...
Post by: BucketHandsGreg on November 24, 2008, 04:02:32 PM
Cheers mate. Do the pimples wear down easily and could you send me some pictures?
Title: Re: Spiked Trainers...
Post by: umar on November 25, 2008, 03:25:59 PM
No the pimples, if anything are stronger than the studs themselves, they're the same material used one conventional cricket shoes so they very durable. unfortuantley I havn't got a digital camera so I can't post pics.
hope my advice is useful mate

very good prices - do you think the spiked up trainers will  last as long as your average pair of asics/adidas spikes though?
Title: Re: Spiked Trainers...
Post by: Howzat on September 01, 2009, 02:24:15 PM
If your a batsman they should, but if your a bowler you need to get some "cross training" trainers with leather upper. The running shoes won't stand up to it for bowlers.
