Looking to buy a new bat for the 2011 season and quite like the look of the Adidas Pellara. Anyone got one, if so please tell me what it's like and if you have any pics please post them. Thanks, Craig.

Interesting ask - what sort of budget are you looking at throwing at this... a top of the rage Adidas is £250+ which buys you a serious amount of bat on this forum.
-
They are bringing out a new version for the ashes for KP to use. Think its only cosmetic, but you might find the 2010 version on sale once they do. Should save you a few quid
-
I've used a friends Pellara Elite and it is a good bat. What you'd expect for that amount of money but it is up there with the main brands for quality.

Agreed with Buzz! You can get two very good quality sticks in that price range.
-
I've heard the pellara is the best of the bunch, but then again, why not get 2 bats for that price? Up to you I guess...
-
I'm looking at getting the county model for £130.
-
I've also considered thee Kookaburra Blade 500 for £120.
-
you can get a belter of a bat on here for that sort of money!!! , i got a brand new top end willowstix bat for £80, rrp £205 (roughly) , if you just lurk around the for sale section for a while im sure youl find something amazing , but i cant see an addidas coming up any time soon , its not really the sort of thing people on here tend to have (i dont think anyway)

Craig, have you considered Dropping Mike (Talisman) a PM? He has great Blade 950s for £175, which he hand-picked...that's a bargain really for that price..otherwise keep a lookout. Before I came on here I was set on an incurza, now I've got an saf, which seems twice as good...
-
If you want a cheap Pellara keep your eyes open on ebay, with companies trying to clear last year's model.
-
I would think your pretty much paying for the stickers with the adidas tbh
-
It's true Mike, I've heard of quite a few adidas planks...
-
And I've seen adidas planks

WEll, if he wants one, he wants one. Adidas are nowhere near as good as puma in terms of sports companies who have decided to turn to cricket...
-
I currently have a Puma but it's too heavy, what other bats can you suggest that weigh 2.7-2.9 that have a low middle and are around £130? Cheers.
-
low middle bats tend to come out of Asia. ask armie (batsandmore.com) or asad (uzisports.co.uk)
-
Get a custom perhaps. Solitare/H4L/SAF?
-
Solitaire at 2.7-2.9.... Good luck ;)
-
Ok maybe not Solitaire, but try the others perhaps..?
-
Closest to a 2'9 Solitaire that you will get from Roger is 2'11.
-
PM Talisman, he can fix you up with a beauty.
-
If you ask for a 2'5" from Solitaire, you might get a 2'9".....

I thought high middle bats mostly as the pitches are harder so more bouncy?
-
i thought they generally had low middle, as they are motivated by big hitting!
-
i thought lower middles due to low bouncing turning wickets..
-
I think SAMs right about that; Sri Lankan/Indian pitches keep low and turn, thus low middles for getting forward and driving...I think that there are high middle bats for places like Australia/NZ, ie. For use at the WACA and so on..
-
Looking at the various bats that come out of countries, my dad's old bat, which was a 1970s era bat had an incredibly low middle. I thought that English bats traditionally ame in one of two shapes. Mid-height middle and low middle? Let's face it, British pitches are not known world wide for their pace and bounce...
