Title: Puma Evolution 4000
Post by: craigwm on November 08, 2010, 04:29:22 PM
I have recently received my new Puma Evolution 4000 which i bought new for £89.99 and my first impressions are that it is a very good cricket bat. It has 8 relatively straight grains and the edge measures approximately 30mm. The bats weight is 2lb 14oz but it picks up at about 2lb 10oz. After a lot of knocking in i was finally ready to take it down the nets and what can i say, it was amazing. The ball pings off like crazy and if you middle it you are bound to send it crashing into the net. The middle is lower down the bat which is good for me because i am very much a front foot player and like driving. A lot of people have asked be if this bat is any good because of the very big scoops on the back, and I always say yes it is still a brilliant bat as long as you get it near the middle. even if you don't middle it it will still go. All in all i think this is a brilliant bat and love using it.
