Title: Request - Masuri from inside
Post by: Cover_Drive on November 12, 2010, 05:42:47 PM
Hi Guys,

I am considering to buy a Masuri, however, I was wondering that would it be possible for someone (who have Masuri) can post pictures of the helmet from inside? I haven't come across any Masuri nor I was able to google it.

So if someone is kind enough can they please post pictures of latest Masuri from inside? I just want to see how comfortable it is etc

I really appreciate it

Take Care,
Cheers

Where do you live? Find your nearest cricket superstore and try them on!

I am in Canada.

I have been to stores and haven't seen any Masuri. I have seen Albion but I don't like them.

Thanks Liam, I really appreciate it.

Just another question guys is it worth buying a Titnaium rather than Steel Grille one?

I'd recommend getting the steel one and then picking up a titanium grill from Ayrtek. Since you're the other side of the pond, you could have the Masuri shipped to Ayrtek, to add the grill and then ship both on to you. Should save postage - provided Tom (Ayrtek) would be alright with that.

A Ti grill will knock the weight the helmet down, depends howuch shipping is to Canada as some places work out pretty steep, £45 was the cheapest I found to send a helmet to SA this week for example!

Yeh wasn't impressed with that price as u can imagine, last one went via DHL tho. I was even less impressed with the 2 helmets that mysteriously disappeared this week...u can tell Xmas is coming up!!

Is there significant difference between Ti and Steel Grill?

Also whats the difference between Masuri Ti Grill and Ayrtek Ti Grill?

I will be getting the helmet shipped to Glasgow because hopefully someone from my family will be going there in December so I save postage :D

Once again thanks a bunch guys

Which one has most space between my face and grill?

Also I measured my head and it was around 57 CM (circumference). So what size will fit me?

Both will provide a gap but wouldn't recommend having it any larger than 55mm between the peak and grill. Not sure what sizes they do and what l-xl covers with them

Ah okay, make sense.

When I see my brother wearing his Albion I notice the gap in between the grill and face is minimal which I don't like

Tom, thank you very much, I really appreciate it!

Have Masuri changed their grills or something? The ones on Pietersen and Broad's lids look different.

Tom, a question for you mate. I just measured my head and the circumference is 57 cm 57.5 cm. Also at the moment I have normal size hair (not too big or short)

So what size of Masuri should work for me?

Thanks

L-XL them id think...think their large is 57-63cm...only adjustment method is the rear Velcro strap though rather than internal padding method

With the Velcro strap can you tighten and loosen the helmet?
Title: Re: Request - Masuri from inside
Post by: Ayrtek Cricket on December 01, 2010, 07:39:55 PM
Yeh it tightens it at the back of your head basically in a single localised place

Ah okay, cheers mate.

I haven't seen a Masuri so I wasn't sure. I am assuming this is same as the one on GM Hero Helmet so I understand what it is.

Adult is 58-61, the larger one is 60-63.
