As im sure many of you are pining for the winter to go away and bring back the cricket season, i thought id stick up a topic for 2011 targets before winter nets start.
I'll get the ball rolling :)
Batting Target - Break into Saturday 1sts as was on verge at end of season. Score 1200 runs on Sat/Sun. Have 2 centuries in there somewhere. Average 40+
Bowling Target - Improve my bowling enough to get myself used more. Considering how little it is likely that i will bowl 10 wickets at an average of under 25 with a economy of under 4.5rpo is my target.
come on chaps..

I personally think this topic is a touch premature. I usually set targets in Feb/March dependent on how good I feel in the nets. A rough target would be hold down a first team spot in top 6, score couple of centuries and get my skipper out in the nets to maybe get a bowl on Saturday....

Agreed Choppy. But off the top of my head, 50 wickets, 100 runs for the season, and hold every catch that comes my way. So take wickets, score runs, catch. ;)
-
Average 30 in league
Get 30 wickets in total
Beat my high score.
-
Get our 3rd team promoted...
Average 30 with bat and less with ball
-
Find a new club is my first point of call
-
my targets for next season........
score my first league ton, and to bat through the innnings at least once, an average of 30+ would be nice as well.....
catches- to take 90% of chances
-
Get. A. Ton.
-
Mine are to cement my place in the 1st team, score around 1000 runs take every catch
And keep my average of 50 in evening leauge :)
-
I only have one, score a hundred
-
1000 runs minimum, 1500 runs ideally.
20 wickets - though would prefer not to have to bowl too much, as I'm rubbish.
On Saturdays, for the team to be able to bowl sides out and win games (we had 5 draws in 2009 where we had the opposition 9 down at the end of the game). I'm doing my Level 2 coaching at the moment, and am hopefully going to get our practise sessions much more organised.
On Sundays, having been promoted in 2010 we need to establish ourselves in a higher division, and maybe win a cup or two if poss.
On the coaching front I have a massive challenge, as I have been appointed lead coach for the colts section of another club. I need to write 6 months worth of sessions and deliver these so that the kids improve and have some fun along the way. This is definitely my biggest goal and challenge for 2011.

In league, 350 league runs which I think is gettable. Also take around 20 wickets which is also just about feasable! Take as many catches as possible :)
-
Not sure yet guys as may be joining a new league, think it will be more around the team performance rather like to make winning contributions even if that means 20-30's
-
500 runs batting at 5-6
as many wickets as possible so about 3 ;)
-
1000 runs in season
Managing not to bowl
10+ catches/run outs in the outfield
10+ catches/stumpings wicketkeeping
:)
-
my personal Targets 1st team only not including sunday team or evening league
Batting 600 runs
Wicketkeeping 35+ victms
managed 437 this year
and 35 victims in the league.
are clubs set us targets also my targest lastyear was 400 runs and 30 victims so beat them both im guessing they will be higher next year

Displace some of the stodgy openers that are in our team.
-
Simple - to enjoy the season as much as possible!!
-
Do some scoring with my new iPad app.....
-
Right- Move up 1/2 sides.
Score a 50- See where we go from there. With a good quality bat, not the middle-less rubbish I have been using this should be easily possible!
Take 5- for less than 25 runs for Wardens. Got 5-12 for school, but that was a terrible batting side. Their parents were cheering when I DIDN'T get them out, poor fellows, and I'm certainly no Shane Warne.
Work on my Stock Leg Break and flipper. Worked out three variations of each, now just need to completely sort the lengths.
Should be a good year, if the end of last season is anything to go by.
