Lol, on a serious note would be good to get one of Sanga's old lids back from him signed by the man himself which could be kept on display.
-
working on it mate got a few items to stick in the display already....hopefully a few more shortly
-
Haven't been asked for a signed version of mine back yet though :(
-
thats becasue its priceless mate.....
-
Didn't think of it that way ;)
-
Tom, one comment on your current design, good idea of a waiting area but spilting the further space into two spaces would enable a two meetings/ consultations to happen at the same time, the table area as one section, much like a board room, the rest in another? Just a thought
-
I'm sure you will but just have your kit on display where there is the most natural light.
-
Nice space to come up with some good proposals there. Liking the option you have come up. Have a few recomendations, if I have time later I will write them on here, if not I will give you them on sunday :D
-
I assume there is a coffee making machine and a mini bar for when I visit?
-
mini bar is hidden behind the door mate....fridge will be essential for any late night shifts required!
-
Few recommendations on the option above:-
The entrance door to be the opposite way round (as its currently installed on the photographs). When you come up the stairs and open the door you want to see straight through into the showroom then you don't have to walk around the door to get in. Think it would give a better open feel as you enter.
Solid wall behind seats so you cant see into the boardroom but have a glass wall to the showroom. Ayrtek logo could be etched into the glass. :D
Don't like the fact that you have an open plan showroom and boardroom area. Could you not construct a glass wall on the open side so if your having a meeting you could still have an assistant seeing to another potential customer in the showroom? Even if its visit by appointment only, would still prefer a more enclosed/private boardroom. However, once the office location becomes known to many I'm sure people would want to just turn up which could increase sales?
Boardroom could be made slightly longer but have the far end of the desk against the wall, (less chairs) but you could have a large TV on the wall here to show presentations?
Seems to be a lot of wasted space in the corner behind the desk. I was thinking more of a large corner desk to maximize space but to also give a large desk/counter for computer etc.
The small square space in the showroom area could have a curtain screen, then you could have multiple shelves behind to use as storage space as you don't seem to have any.
Just a few pointers that I thought of.

wayne i think if you where a nice guy you would knock him up all that ;) on some cad so he can see what it looks like lol
-
Was just gonna say that. Waynes put more effort into dmtelling Tom how to do his office than he has on the recent ££££million build lol
-

Ha ha. I was actually thinking about it. But dont have any floor dims. Plus i would only be able to do 2d plans as not an expert in 3d. :(

Ha ha ha. I have been thinking of it quite a bit and did produce a few sketchs. Lol. How sad am I. lol. Doing my own work was boring, Tom's new office design was much more interesting. :D
-
do a rough sketch wayne and take a pic on ur phone and upload. i be intresting in seeing ur skills!
i wanted to see the plans u drew up for are cricket club as well!
-
Im not an Architect so they are only rough sketches. Im not doing that. That would be sad.lol.
I think I still have the plans for the pavillion at home on laptop somewhere, will try dig them out for you.
-
Wayne fear not we have a roller shutter and storage downstairs....this was one plan and with everyone having different ideas of how it should look and be laid out it's a working progress still lol
-
I was wondering where you would keep all the stock. lol.
Was assuming you would just keep basic supplies here and bulk storage else where.
All has been revealed. :D
-
Yeh storage downstairs and office upstairs! Everything is bundled in a room at my parents at the moment until it's up and running lol you'll see it all on Sunday!!
-
Looking forward to it. :D
Just not the getting up at early part. lol.
-
Lol no I'm not looking forward to Gettin up before 11 on a Sunday either lol let alone 5am!!!
-
Ha ha. Well if in the extreme circumstance that there is traffic on a sunday morning we may be delayed until after 11am. But I doubt it. Lol.
-
Lol no I'm not looking forward to Gettin up before 11 on a Sunday either lol let alone 5am!!!
i havnt seen my bed at 11am on a sunday ever!! years of 10.30 am football kicks off!
-
I sense a love affair between Tom and Colesy ;) lol
-
hes too young for me and not my type.....back on topic a few other suggestions for layouts less open plan

-
im liking that one mate
open space where chair is then meeting room and ofice with glass nice idea :D
-
Yeah few ideas knocking about at the moment just need to decide how best to use the space :D
-
Not keen on this layout, alot of wasted space and the sofa is in the middle of no man's land which looks odd.
Like the double doors into the boardroom though.
Much prefer the first option. Could also use the double doors on that layout to make the boardroom more private.
Are you not going to have a display of the gear? It seems your just proposing on spreading it out on the large table. lol.
What about a nice display showing off the lids, gloves, pads and bats available immediatly in front of you as you go into the office/showroom. Not just a table/desk in the middle. Put that to one side.
-
I prefer first option too!
Isn't the gear downstairs??
-
yeah there will be a full showroom mate with rotating stands with the lids, and all the range laid out but this is literally only a preview to show what we might do with the space and not a solid plan.
Downstairs will be storage and assembly
-
Oh rite. I was assuming the stockroom downstairs was for Ayrtek staff only and customers came upstairs to see the nice display of the gear neatly presented on display?
-
No idea mate, yeah sounds like downstairs is storage etc and customers walk straight up!
-
indeed mate....didnt take any pics of downstairs but its a good space to store all the clobber in as well as all the others stuff for the helmets....custoerms will go up the stairs and into the office section where there will be a showroom area etc.
may take u and the boys down on Sunday for a proper preview ;)
-
Yeah that would be good. We get to see the whole Ayrtek empire.lol.
Can bore you with my ideas then. Much easier to explain face to face then trying to explain on here. :D
-
haha empire.....got to pack 3 different locations into one now to form a business hub of activity ;)
-
Ha. That will be fun. Once you get sorted im sure it will be a smart looking office/showroom.
Plenty of trips back and fourth though to move all your gear no doubt.
-
one big mother van load mate im hoping lol
it will look very smart im hoping some nice large posters, exhibition stand stuff and showroom area to brighten up the usual pcs's desks etc :D
-
PS3 in the corner, you can even borrow Gran Turismo for a fee ;)
-
lol steering clear of a PS3 in favour of a macbook pro ;)
-
if its gonna be the emprie hub you'll need both!
-
PS3 would be a good idea, as would Sky and a LCD TV.
-
haha all work and no play!!! its an office remember lads not a batchelor pad
Sky can go on the laptops via sky player
-
3d TV mate, then we can see Ayrteks getting hit as if we were there!!!
-
3d TV mate, then we can see Ayrteks getting hit as if we were there!!!
yes! that is pimp shizzle
-
In all honesty Tom I think you should stick with the current office. Father milsom makes a cracking coffee and mummy milsoms sewing is out of this world :D
Who needs a pro office when you have those two, the ashes on the box and a psychotic pooch running around
-
Haha yeh u got the VIP treatment mate!!!
-
Damn right we did. Sat on sofa with lids on haha.
-
Haha yeh at least they weren't worn to the pub!!!
-
Pffffft don't act like you wouldn't have joined in lad!! Can't deal with all those ignorant bristolians though and that Aussie bird with no SOH. Miserable cow. Service with a smile.... Not in the walkabout Bristol.
-
hahah best part of the day..
Mummy Aytek: "its a shame there is snow out side you could go out side for some throw downs"
WAT! lol
this is how all parents should be!
-
commited to the game mate...she knows the score!!! better still the dog fetches any big hits u send out and brings the ball back to you ;)
-
Is that Dexter Tom? :L
-
Yes mate
