I heard they were in talks to sponsor Morgan (yes, Eoin) which would cost £250,000

Only heard of them when they offered a prize on FB through AOC. There was a thread on them i think on here ??? might be worth searching for it
-
Did try to search but kept getting an error message?
-
yeh perhaps their names popped up in a thread then but know they got the forum treatment of some opinions etc
-
Yeah I agree there was a thread on here a while back. Morgan, interesting? Would that be enough to take him away from kook I wonder..
-
Defiantly going have to check Joda out as they are local to me, they are a main sponsor at Stafford Cricket Club
-
Search funtion is not working for me so apologies if I am going over something already been talked about chaps
-
Stickers look tacky and it is quite hard to see how they would fit into the market as they simply import bats with their stickers on. The name is as uninspiring as they come, and I would spend my money on other British made bats.
Though, to have the possibility of signing Morgan is huge publicisity for the company. They must have some good contacts.
-
That's what I thought. Be interesting how things turn out.
They have clothing ranges and street clothing coming out as well apparently. All very big for a new brand I thought
-
Anyone can have the possibility of signing Morgan. If they stump up enough cash, £250,000 is a huge amount for a player and you'd need to sell around 10,000 bats to make that money back.Would be very surprised if they signed him.
-
and if they sold 10,000 bats...
-
I wonder who makes them as I'm sure they are just stickered up
-
newbury at a guess
-
Pretty sure they are asian imports - Talisman will know
-
But it says made in England on there site why would they lie lol

Shocking isn't it ;)
-
they are english made i would have thought
-
saw someone at an indoor game on saturday, didnt realize it was a joda, thought it was a JS, but it looked nice, clean face, clean grains, went quite well too
-
this is on behalf of Joda Sports, i have to state i have no involvement to the company, i just spoke to the guy there.
So on Behalf of Joda,
"joda sports arent allowed to be on this forum, thats not fair as they cant put thier input into it"
-
Why are they not allowed on this forum? Did the bloke give a reason?
-
a response on behalf of Joda:
" we have tried a number of times to become a member on tbhis forum as there is alot a untrue rumours going around, so we wanted to put our comments across, not 1 of us have been accepted, why do you think this is? our bats are ALL made to order in England and using the FINEST english willow, we have sold over 300 bats and not 1 has ever come back or broke"
-
To be honest, I had to send an email to the admins before I joined as it took a while. whoever it was surely could have used a personal email address to gain access to the forum.
They are getting an award in Wisden for best innovation for the Black Mamba apparently
-
Last year the innovations category was Mongooses, the Stick, womens bat and the Salix Concept. What is different about the Black Mamba? I haven't had chance to look at any Jodas yet.
-
I'm not quite sure mate. Website doesn't saying anything different to what other bat descriptions would...
-
"and its not inovation its best newest branded bat "
-
Prob best to get them to drop one of admin an email with their username etc so they can get approved...there's no conspiracy to keep them off of here I'm sure!!
-
yeah, besides im pritty sure dan wants to go about it the right way, instead of asking me to reply :D
-
Yeh with all the spam and fake accounts requesting access sometimes it's hard to filter them all...if he gives someone a heads up should male it easier to get him sorted
-
To be fair, I never got the email to say my membership was accepted. Waited a couple of weeks and tried to log in and it worked.
-
when did this started happening i swear i just registered and was straight on
-
After banned members kept creating new accounts to try and gain access again
-
I like the pictures of Miss Joda :D
-
He shouldn't worry. Took a while for my account to be set up too. Sure it's not personal.
-
I think admins dont like people using company names to come on here if they are not paying for advertisement (not sure what name he was trying to use!) after bat repairs amongst others!!

No that is not a problem at all. Joda must have just not had his account approved yet as so many try to sign up.

Priceless ^^
-
i also had this problem....i tried and somehow it wasnt approved the initial few times and i tried a few diff user names.....but finally managed to....i actually dont know how....probably there shud be an email address somewhere that ppl wanting to join the forum can contact if they are unable to ....
-
It also took me ages to get onto this forum, it was only after the very helpful Tom (Ayrtek) got me on
