I am interested in the batting gloves with the kangaroo leather palms and was wondering if anybody know what kangaroo leather is like? Feel?
-
Just a softer version of calf leather hence why it's more expensive on the end product....has been used on football boots before too
-
The only sports gear I've had with the premium K leather were a pair of rather pricey umbro classic football boots. Got them
For Xmas one year and they were ridiculously soft and very very comfortable. The only problem was they took a lot of looking after, constant cleaning and dubbing and after a while the leather began to stiffen and crack. Once this happened it didn't take long for them to fall to bits. Rather annoying considering I took really good care of them >:(

Same principle as any gloves with them I would think maximum comfort but not as long a product life ???

Kangaroo leather wont stretch

Is it same like Pittard palm in terms of softness or is softer than that as well ?
-
Thats what I was wondering. Are they similar to pittards?

i dunno lots of footie boots that are made of the leather have a fair amount of give in them!
-
Off topic but I hate Kangaroo leather boots, much prefer the synthetic ones like the preds. My reebok kangeroo ones are so heavy!
-
Way too expensive and the red design look awful!!!!
-
they are on about the kahuna players batting gloves!
-
i know but i was giving an example of k leather being stretchy
-
I was on about damo's post!
-
Yeah I will probably end up getting those gloves. They are so expensive though!
-
sorry, Kahuna batting gloves are proberly the best batting glove i have ever worn, expensive though!!! the Haddin red keeping glove will undoubtably be very well make and are proberbly the mutts nuts, but they are a terrible colour and cant justify the price!!!!
-
You have the kangaroo leather ones?
-
I had kahuna ricky ponting gloves and i sold them as they were very weighty. My parents have bought me some 2010 blade 950 gloves for christmas. They were out when they arrived so i got them out and tried them on, they are very nice and light. On a par with my pumas
-
I know this sounds a bit stupid but weight doesn't really bother me. I just care about the feel of the palms.
-
Kangaroo leather is what the top football boots are made of as it moulds to your foot so it doesn't stretch as much as other footy boots. Only problem is that it is illegal in many states. It should last longer than both Pittards and Sheepskin leather. Over here is oz, the Kook Kahuna players, kook blade 950 and GN ignite 1000le gloves use kangaroo leather and, to me, the Kook kangaroo leather feels different to the GN kangaroo leather which is weird to me, but they must use different thicknesses and dye it a different colour.
