Morning all - so only a few days to go until the third test. The question is simple - who will get the final spot in the England team?
If this was the Vaughan/Hussain and Fletcher era, Bresnen would be a shoe in - but this is Strauss and Flower.
Will they take a bit of a gamble on Tremlett or will they stick to the "next cap off the rank" Bresnen who can bat a bit too..
If it was Finn out then I think Tremlett would be a shoe in, but as it is Broad and the pitch is the WACA this is a bit of a tough call. Then again the Ausies haven't looked like knocking us over twice at any stage this series.
Vote now!! I think they will go for Bresnen in a safety first move, but would be happy to be proved wrong.
-
I think it will be Bresnan - he is the solid, dependable choice. If we had a 5 man attack, then one of the other two would be the more attacking option. But you know that Bresnan can be relied upon.
-
I think Bresnan I hope Tremlett
-
I hope they go for Tremlett as with his added height will take advantage of what I hear this morning is likely to be a pitch that will only last for 4 days. However, my instint tells me they will go for Bresnan for his all round ability
-
I hope Tremlett, But feel it will be Bresnan
-
Apparently Tremlett has been bowling really well in the nets so I hope he gets selected
-
i think all 3 of them are rather un-inspiring! i reckon they will go with tremlett. my pick would be shahzad
-
I have been bowling realy well in the nets too... not sure I will get selected though :(

You need to work on your twitter-ing before you get selected Buzz, it's poor!
-
I'm not on and am not a fan of Twitter, but I take your point - I will open an account asap and start tweeting about my 90mph away swinging, rearing off a length and unbelieveably accurate bowling as of 12pm.
not sure I will get any believers though!
-
I know it's good to have have a bowler who can bat at a bit at 8, but Swann can do that job anyway.
I'd like to see Tremlett in too.
I think they will go with Tremlett on a 'hirses-for-courses' basis, even though Bresnan is really next in line
-
I'd go for Tremlett - he's one of the most feared on the county circuit and with a couple of Aussies looking susceptible to the short ball I'd give him a go. Don't really rate Bresnan.
-
im going Bresnen cos he can bat as well
-
According to the Guardian, Tremlett is going to play:

Is'nt it nice to have a good strong squad!!! there are excellent cases for all three players!!! Aussie colours Canary yellow and envy green....;0)
-
I would've gone with Shahzad, if there's any reverse swing on offer, he would find it.
-
I hope Tremlett plays, will get bounce and carry off that pitch. Bresnan is the ultimate international meado and would get taken to pieces on that track.
Will be a very high scoring game as Perth is always a road. Even though there is talk that its a green track i doubt it will offer much to the bowlers. I think it will be a draw this time...
-
hasnt Tremlett already been given the nod?
-
It does appear Tremlett has got the nod - which is a good thing I think.
Shahzad is not the right bowler for the WACA - his skiddy bowling would come onto the bat very nicely than you - he will be more of a handful at he MCG or the SCG...
-
Sky Sports say Tremlett is suffering from a stiff hamstring after training yesterday, wonder if this will influence their decision for the test.
-
Slightly off topic just heard Finn is included in the Lions sqaud for tour of West Indies in Jan.
