Don't recognise the BW brand?

Bat 1: Kookabura Blade
Weight: 2lb 8
Condition: Used - Refurbed
Edge Size (Widest Point): 26mm
Toe Size: 15mm
Shoulder Size: 12mm
Grains: 12
This bat is actually Mike's, which he sent me to have a look at so if anyone fancies it, I would send him a message!
History: According to Mike this bat belonged to a Middlesex player and was sent to Tim Keeley for a refurbishment but was never collected.
Grains: The bat has 11 well pronounced straight grains. I'm not normally a fan of heartwood but this bat has a two grain wide strip on the right handers outside edge which actually looks really good.
Profile: The bat maintains an impressive profile for a bat of this weight (2lb 8), there is a little concaving on the back but nothing extreme at their widest point the edges are 26mm.
My only regret is that I have not had chance to use this bat other than hitting a few catches with it! Not sure what else to write about this little beauty so will let the pictures do the talking!

I love that Puma really like stickers, I wish I could get a set
-
What's the name of the brand of the bat between the blade and the predator: that looks really nice! :)
Johan.

Boughton Willow... Planted in Boughton Park 1980, Harvested 2008, Handmade 2010
-
Is that Kieswetter's Puma you got from Tom (if I remember correctly) ?
-
Got it from Talisman, who said it was made for Kieswetter but has a small tear in the willow on the back where the drawknife got stuck. Easily the best bat in the picture!
Sorry Jon don't know any more... its just got their stickers on anyway its not an actual BW :)
-
Ah okay, nevertheless looks superb and I remember seeing it's profile somewhere it was lush!
I hope it goes well in the future as well.
-
Yeah will get it refurbed before the season... get it looking nice. Second best bat in that picture would be the blank redback on far right will review that soon :D
-
Old WW on the left?
-
Colesy - Thats a bat I made... pretty nice but handle is a bit thick :(
-
I remember you saying about doing the cut-outs now :)
-
thats a lie as i sold that kookaburra blank as i used the stickers for mym own bat to hit4 sixe who refurbed it and sold it to mike along with my MG2 as i gave hit4six a very good deal.... so it was not a middlesex players as i still have pics of it on my photobucket somewhere
-
Maybe that's something you need to talk to Mike about then
-
Yeah I have to agree. That bat was one I sold to Talisman around 18 months ago. I will try and dig out pictures, but that bat is not a Middlesex players bat, just a standard Kookaburra blade.

well im not to bothered just stating the fact as i dont want forum members to be decieved about it
-
Thanks aidy and h4x, you just save me some ££. I was about to buy this "pro" Kookaburra......
Maybe that's something you need to talk to Mike about then
Leo, if you are/were selling this bat (irresepective if it was on behalf of Mike), you need to clarify with Mike and present the true picture to the guys on the forum. It is your responsibility as a seller to get the facts right.
-
Hi Yash please read all topics clearly before posting. In the original message I said the bat is not mine, I'm not selling it, as I said you will have to speak to Mike if you want it
-
I was offered that bat and it came with a big history from Tim Keeley workshop and a un named Middlesex player

Another case of mike being full of (No Swearing Please).
I feel sorry for everyone who is suckered in by the hype.
-
Shall we wait until we've heard both sides of the story before people who have no knowledge of the situation start deciding things?
-
I don't think you'll get Mike's side of the story in the near future.
Nice touch Seedy - someone less charitable than me might think you have an axe to grind!
