This was purchased late in the 2010 season from the Barringtons website. Paid approx £225, thinking that it would cost £300 plus in 2011.
It was sold as 2lb 13oz (the handwritten weight on the shoulder is not readable) and does indeed tip the scales one ounce heavier than this including the grip.
Have not used the bat yet.

Looks nice, from what I can see. Any chance of a snap from in front of it, showing the grains nearer the middle of the bat? You're a big M&H man, then, I take it?

Great Pics as well Alan, and looks a lovely bat as well.
-
looks a great bat mate, grainage looks superb.
-
Alan did you get my PM mate?
-
Thank you for the comments. I will add some more photos soon.

m&h have really moved towards heavy concaving with there most recent releases - the distinction being a perfect example of this. Lovely looking bat Alan, one of the better looking distinctions that i've seen. Also, good use of the £2 on the edge.......Norb would be so proud if he saw this :D
-
Mr Shilly have you come across the Amplus yet? if so does that have concaving?

I might just send you all my kit so you can photograph it for me!!
-
That Distinction does it for me! Did you get it direct from M&H? Been looking around, cheapest I can find is £299 :( Anyone seen one for cheaper?
-
Read the first line of the topic mate!
-
Haven't seen many, if any, sub-£300 this year. Prices tend to to drop by the end of the season but then an issue of finding a good one in stock.
-
Oooh! Barringtons!..............Let me see..........Hmmm £297.50......dammit :(
Just can't bring myself to part with that when I could get so many other great bats for less...just love the whole oversized cleft thing they've got going on...
-
Just checked the invoice and I bought it mid-July last year. It had been reduced and I also benefitted from free delivery and of course a lower VAT rate then.
-
Probably have to wait until the end of the season then.....unless you'd part with yours?? Pretty please? :D
-
It is a keeper. M&H have a sale each year but this is at the end of the season, I recall it was late August in 2010. Agree £300 is a lot to pay, even for one of these. Good luck hunting a deal.
-
Thanks mate, I will get one eventually! Let us know how it plays when you do eventually use it!
-
Barringtons have made some price reductions.
Now £262 inc postage and a free bat cover. 2lb 10oz and 2lb 11oz in stock
