-
newbery sps pads are decent, so i have heard!
-
SS Ton Matrix ;)
-
bulldog 2011 ones are good
The ayrtek look nice as well
Chase 175 pro are good quality
Depends on your size mate
-
Morrant Ultralites. . . .nothing comes close
-
puma pads are very light and comfy in my opinion. highly recommend mate
-
might try my mates new Ayrtek's, suppose ive plenty of time to drop on some before the season starts.

Can you explain why, heard alot about these, best/cheapest place to get, any links?
-
can recommend the 2010 version of these:-
http://www.owzat-cricket.co.uk/acatalog/2011_Puma_Kinetic_4000_batting_pads.html
on the lighter side of average - 608g per pad and only 2 straps to do up.
-
Bit lighter on the wallet too ;)
-
Can't beat kookaburra in my opinion. I have kahuna rp pads and love them

Be even cheaper if you find the 2010 version - my father picked up a youth size for £35 at Romida the other day.
-
my morrants that look me 3 hours in the bath to clean up but they have come out sparkling white thanks to Daz
There just two bloody big for me
-
What size are they Dave?
-
yeah Dave what size? and how tall are you pls
-
There normal mens and i'am a touch under 5ft 8in and if you read my post i hate large pads...

yep selling
-
normal mens will be too small for me :(
-
perfect for me :)
-
how big are you colesy as normal mens fit me fine and im not exactly small
-
6ft 2
-
must be me then as im 6ft4 and wear normal size pads never tried the bigger sort may have to one of these days
-
I think with most things it depends on the manufacturer as my current Ayrtek pads (mens) fit me fine, but others don't
-
thats what i wear funnily enough the 2011 elites but had aero p1's and puma ballistic 5000 pads before those
-
I have the 2010 Traditional ones although I've tried on some 2011 Elites which are nice, and surprisingly light
-
It certainly does like trainers some are slightly smaller and some bigger even i have found within the same model of the same brands
-
It is one of my aims this year so get some Morrant pads so hopefully sooner rather than later.

I recommend these, although they are expensive.
-
and ugly sorry but they look hiddious
-
I'm the same with pads, Inbetween sizes. Normal mens newbery fit me fine, even though people said they came up small.
-

Haha, you won't be wanting my aero's then!
-
I can say now dave is not a fan of those lol
-

Unfortunately for the buyer mate, that's the going price for a quality pair of gloves/pads nowadays
-
I've just got a pair of newbery thruxton pads and gloves first impressions, they are brilliant.
-
Our Elite range will be £117.00 posted for the pads and gloves and £97.00 for the Premier range so you dont necessarily need to spend £150 for a decent set of softs as the alot of them come from the same factory
-
Good thing I got the Sample Vantage Volt Gloves, too! :)
-
Johan, thanks for that comment :( wish I would have snapped up some of those samples!!
-
Sorry mate. Are you sure they've all gone. The great thing with samples is that they're not much different from the real ones at a fraction of the price :D Keep you eyes peeled mate, if you haven't already gone for a matching set of softs.
-
ended up buying some slaz masterclass pads from owzat cricket...very nice and light. only problem is that the shin protector is leather/pvc which isn't very nice when netting in shorts. but overall very happy :D
-
Depends if you have to have the latest fashions as I picked up some Kookaburra Ice 850 gloves for £30 & didnt get pads as bought some barely used ones but think they could be found for £40-£50
-
Take a look at SAF's mate. They have pads in at the moment but waiting on gloves. Look good and give good protection as well, nice and traditional
