can recommend the 2010 version of these:-

http://www.owzat-cricket.co.uk/acatalog/2011_Puma_Kinetic_4000_batting_pads.html

on the lighter side of average - 608g per pad and only 2 straps to do up.

Be even cheaper if you find the 2010 version - my father picked up a youth size for £35 at Romida the other day.

I think with most things it depends on the manufacturer as my current Ayrtek pads (mens) fit me fine, but others don't

Unfortunately for the buyer mate, that's the going price for a quality pair of gloves/pads nowadays

Our Elite range will be £117.00 posted for the pads and gloves and £97.00 for the Premier range so you dont necessarily need to spend £150 for a decent set of softs as the alot of them come from the same factory

Sorry mate. Are you sure they've all gone. The great thing with samples is that they're not much different from the real ones at a fraction of the price :D Keep you eyes peeled mate, if you haven't already gone for a matching set of softs.

ended up buying some slaz masterclass pads from owzat cricket...very nice and light. only problem is that the shin protector is leather/pvc which isn't very nice when netting in shorts. but overall very happy :D

Depends if you have to have the latest fashions as I picked up some Kookaburra Ice 850 gloves for £30 & didnt get pads as bought some barely used ones but think they could be found for £40-£50

Take a look at SAF's mate. They have pads in at the moment but waiting on gloves. Look good and give good protection as well, nice and traditional
