Title: Bradbury S500
Post by: AlanB on December 29, 2010, 02:33:13 PM
This bat was purchased in the SCS end of season sale (which is still on and offers good value on Bradbury items). Assume it was not graded as a Players because the grains are not straight through the length of the face but there are very few blemishes back or front.
It is indeed 2lb 10oz on the scales and the edges are 38mm at their maximum, so plenty of willow for the weight. I had visited SCS in August and thought the 500 grade bats were good. Very pleased with this bat at 50% off sticker price.

Agree with comments re protecting toe would also take edges off they are very square on Bradburys.

I have Bradbury M300 went really well but only for about season before its gone in the toe

I've got an M500 and it's virtually identical too..

Anyone know the real difference between the S and M Series?

Update on this topic.

This is quality kit and appears to be a higher specification than the later Bradbury gear e.g. leather instep on the pads; Pittards palms on the gloves.

The pads and gloves pictured have been used by me only since the picture was taken and are being auctioned on ebay, closing this weekend.

The gloves and pads are going well on ebay. Bradbury gear is clearly in demand.

This means I will now sell the bat, too.

Rather the use ebay, will use the For Sale section on this forum.

Aim to have the listing up within the next hour.
