Whats everyones thoughts on Concaving?
i can see its good points if you consistently hit the ball out of the dead centre......
do most people choose a bat with or without concaving??????
i think i prefer my bats with as little concaving as poss and would rather a nice big spine than huge edges......
-
i always have a little con caving on my bats , not sure why just always liked having it :)
i don't think that it makes me play any better/worse but that's what im comfortable with i suppose
-
my voodoo is concaved a fir bit and my talisman not so much but still slightly i think i'l save the voodoo for when i find some form
-
I'm with norbs on this one. It's trendy but not really necessary as you can achieve the same without it....
Look in one of his ask the batmaker threads.

im not bothered as long it goes well.
but most of my bats have alot of concaving
-
same here i used to hate them then i used one and have not looked back apart from my special bat which has zero concaving
-
Can't say either of my bats are massively concaved, I'm not fussed to be honest!
-
My next bat will have minimal concaving
-
I think if bat is pressed nicely then moderate concaving should be there for good balance and speed.
-
Not bothered at all as long as:
(1) the handle is the way I like it,
(2) the pick-up is good, and
(3) Middle taps up fine
-
I hate it and don't have any on my bats I like the wood where it's supposed to be the middle
