Any of you guys played much stuff with the white ball and coloured kits?
-
A bit, its as expected, people not in whites, and instead of a red ball, its a white one.

Yeah, seemingly all the leaguie crickety in Norway is like that, can't make my batting any worse but it'll be interesting to see if bowling with the white ball makes much difference, ditto the astros.
All seems a bit unnecessary to me.
-
Play it every year at school but with a pink ball, which seems to hit the bat hard (not sure why its just my own opinion)
Batting on astros will definitely get you working on your back foot game, it usually pops fromanywhere!

I was worries about that, I'm a habbitual front foot lunger.
Also always found it hard bowling offies on astro as there isn't much grip and it seems to sit up to be smashed.
-
Yer i hate bowling offies on our school 2nd team astro during hse matches.... I just bowl quicker and flatter. You would be alright bowling to lefties... You netter hope there is a lot of lefties in Norway!
-
I bowl darts as it is, if it's a real loast cause I'll roll out some super slow away swingers.

All the premier leagues play in a t20 competition each year, ours is with a pink ball has been orange but now pink, it seams to carry a bit further than you think, found this out as a keeper, it carries further of the pitch and in the air, either from throws or off the bat
-
Yeah I play in a Premier League, and we have a T20 and League Cup Competition in coloured clothing. As said earlier we had pink balls then orange, but loads of bats were being broken by them and so we are back to red balls. Seems unfair as one team plays in red haha, although the expense associated with playing with white balls is ridiculous for a normal small club.
-
used the orange ball a fair bit and it stays hard but seems to lack weight. It's a strange one but in the hand it doesn't feel quite right. The ball tends to fly further and they're not cheap to buy. However, it's absolutely brillant for visability on a dark evening night.

I agree with the fact it seems to come off the bat more, I was playing with a pink one and mistimed a cover drive which would usually have just chipped up to cover but flew over him for four

Our coloured kit. Chosen by the WAGs haha
