What are people's impressions of these?
http://www.seriouscricket.co.uk/shop/product.php/2743/415/
Ive never been someone who likes flashy gear but im 95% sure im gonna buy these!!
-
I love these. Just waiting a bit before I look to buy as Asics tend to drop another colur scheme just before the season starts. Would be nice to see a blue/orange version I think

Now why have you gone and said that . . . . More or less had the card out of the wallet! :)
-
I'm in for those for sure!
-
Well don't let me stop you mate :) get them purchased, I'll only be jealous!!
Just usually get mine right before the season in case they release another colour. I bought the gel gully a week before the gully2 came out a few years back. Same price and looked loads better. Not impressed

I prefer the speed menace ones tbh, all the problems people had with Gel Advance 2's I would be wary about buying these...

I think the speed menace one's are bowling mid cut boots? What problems did people have with them?

Never heard of any advance 2 issues

I thought the back rubbed a lot of peoples heels etc? Well thats what I saw on the asics review section mostly, although cant check as the gel advance 2's have been removed from the site...

Yes this is true to some extent when wearing standard socks, however they're fine with 1000 mile socks.
-
love the colours :) if i wasn't gettin some spiked id of been tempted.
-
Well I had problems with my Asics on the heel. It's a shame 'cos I loved them and they felt soooooo light, but they were really uncomfortable and caused me pain and rubbing after wearing them.
I had to sell them on and go back to my trusted old Pumas. Shame really, but it doesn't sound like I was alone in having funny feet for Asics!
-
Where was it rubbing brucey? On the heel itself or the achilles?
-
Heel - and it was painful enough to not wear them again. I thought it was a combo of the shoes being too tight and rubbing - but they were fine round the front.
Shame, as they make by far the funkiest shoes.
-
It's Blister city on the heels...I have to tape my heels to avoid them....but I like them?
-
What was it rubbing on? the back of the heel or underneath?
-
back of the heel! i just use medical tape and put a strip across the achilles to prevent rubbing
-
I think these spikes look really good. I'm hoping to purchase a pair before the season starts
-
They are really light and supportive.
-
Do you have these spikes Biggy or the 2010 Advance 2?
Hopefully they would have picked up on the problem!!
-
The Aussie Green/Gold style
-
I'm so tempted to buy these, but after what people have said I really want to try these on before I purchase.
I've got some Asics trainers and they're fine on my heels, but I've had a fair bit of trouble with football boots rubbing on my heels.
-
I'd definitely try them on but I've got the Advance 2s and had no problem with them at all. I do wear them with 1000 mile socks though which are brilliant
-
are those type of socks, with the two layers in the heels? So that the two layers rub together instead of rubbing against your heel?
-
yup, i bought a pair to stop the blisters that had been forming when doing 10k "fun-runs" etc and the first run i did i got blisters 4k in :/
-
I would much rather have the strike rates. Best cricket shoes I have worn.
