The pads are nearing completion now and I thought I'd let you all have a little sneak preview. The only change to be made on these is the Royal blue colour on the blue/yellow pads. It Just needs to be a little lighter to tie in to the brand.
I think these are going to cause a real stir again but that's what Blue Room is all about.
Unfortunately the gloves arent ready yet but We want to make a statement and avoid the trends set by other brands where possible so expect more of the same when these are completed. Prices will be comfirmed very soon. Please leave your comments, were very excited to hear what you think.
Remember.... Be different, Be BlueRoom!
Please note - blue to be altered to royal blue.
Images are of both pads together.

i quite like them very colourfull :D
awfull pics tho lol
-
Think I prefer the blues even tho my bat is pink. Do look good tho
-
I didn't take the pics but sorry for that. Will get some better ones sorted when I go down ti the workshop.
-
Looking nice, cant wait to see the gloves. Is there a difference between the pink and blue/yellow pad other than colour?
-
Really liking the pads.
Its a shame I have already purchased some for this season otherwise I might have been tempted.
-
The shin bolster does look different on the blue/yellow pad but they are the same so it must be the colour and lighting of the images that's causing this. I asked rob the same question.
-
Big fan of these, like the overall design . . .shocking promo shots mind!
-
They do look rather nice. Shame I have no room/need for a third pair of pads. Mind I have another in Youths LH as well :( :)
-
I know the pics aren't perfect but as I said I didnt take them. Just wanted to get them on here to see what people thought. The thread will be updated when the gloves are finished so I'll get some much better images then.
-
Sorry to put a dampener on things but I don't like the logo on the top hat, I think plainer pads look more classy!
-
I am with 123 - I like the pads - but am not sure why you would need 3 logos on the pads... they are very like the GN ones I think otherwise.
-
When is the release date for pads and gloves? Is he gonna do any bat covers as well?
-
We are waiting for a lead time on the gloves at present and then as soon as they are back they will be released on the forum. I'd estimate 7-10 days seen as the changes are only small but the manufacturer has been in no rush with the pads so please dont quote me on it.
-
They look ok not keen on the top hat looks plain and lacks some of the finer touches of more expensive pads...
What the likely R.R.P. of these pads
-
They look good, what I like about the brand robert pack is that you seem to have your own certain indivduality about yourselves with your colour schemes, designs etc. Just joined the elite club as well ;)
-
What is the protection rating? TEST?
-
The design looks very similar to the Vantage pads, like them both.
-
The pads have Test level protection.
-
Is there a rating system for protection then? If so does anyone know what each level means?
-
think it goes something like club-county-test? ie provides adequate protection for club level - provides adequate protection for county level - provides adequate protection for test level.
i think thats the gist of it anyway :)
-
it will relate to the foams and plastics used within them i would think, club...county...test its usually ranked in.
obviously price goes up as level of protection increases as quality of the product rises.
no specific level to conform too as such though
-
thanks for the info guys
-
very nice. Personally I dont like 'tyre tread' style knee rolls.
At the end of the day, all the pads seem to be variations on a couple of styles and aren't pads all made by the same few manufacturers anyway?
-
there are alot of diffrent manafactures mate..
all i can say tho on close inspection of the pads and the gloves the quality is amazing.

I stand corrected. I certainly wasn't saying the BR pads aren't top quality, clearly they are inkeeping with the brand. I thought I had read in another thread that most softs are made by a few manufacturers (to the brand specs) but thanks for clearing that up.

dont get me wrong mate alot will be made at the same place and when i said alot there is probs a handfull lol
