haha i think i recognize this bat! in fact im almost certain i know where this is from :D
-
and who it was made for
-
oh yeah :D
-
I do not care who it was made for the reason is he said it performs as good as it looks
-
that looks amazing! love the profile!
-
sean ervine
-
nope this is not that one this one is mine no point in saying who it might have been it mine or will be tomorrow morning
-
Them stickers will be coming off as people know iam not into mainstream stickers
-
you cant take Puma's off haha :)
i love them stickers.
did he post it to you mate?
-
From the man who describes heartwood as a fad :D
Looks nice, whatever it is.
-
Just paid for it yes he sending it a top bloke he is without doubt
You was right was given to him by the company during IPL
It not the heartwood Jon look at my other bats not a bit of it on any of them i like it the fact it was given to the pro and comes from the IPL were he got it given
-
So whats the story, out of interest?
-
Well it a funny one a few lads i know had a few bats of a company who do not sponsor the forum and after asking a forum member about them i gave him a email..
He then asked what i wanted in a bat and what profile i like i showed him my laver and explained what i like
He then said he had this from last season it was given to him by a IPL player and asked if i wanted a look
So i did and this is the bat and the best thing about it it comes with the player Shirt as well.....
A top bloke who is honest i know that he told me some stuff he did not need to and to be fair did not charge the earth
Top bloke i think he should come on here but i believe he likes to sell bats to people in his shop

Dhoni? Long shot, and probably wrong.
Sorry for guessing!
-
Dave is it the A. Morkel bat?
-
Hehehe ^
-
As you now i do not believe in Pro bats unless it was used by them so it is called the bat was previously owned by **********
I can not wait to use it
-
You mke it quite clear early on that this was a 'pro bat' (whatever that means) early on in the topic so you clearly do care that it was a 'pro' reject/second/surpluss 'bat'!
Does look a nice stick mind and fit for a pro mind.
-
Golders
Read again i may have said it was made for somebody but please read again at no time do i refer it to be a PRO BAT
If i wanted a Proper pro's bat i would have kept the one i gave to Pete Hosk
There no such thing as a pro bat
-
that bat is mental.
i would love to know more! PM?
-
oh forgot to mention it is not 2lb 8oz it 2lb 7oz dressed...
-
oh forgot to mention it is not 2lb 8oz it 2lb 7oz dressed...
Looks fantastic....
-
We shall see when it comes and it was not as much as some people i guess would think
-
Why is it a secret who made it? and what the company is??? and who it was for????
-
Have a guess who made it
-
seeing as espo said he recognised it laver?
-
If its Laver was it for McCullum?
-
It is not a laver at all, it's Spyder
-
It not a spyder though either
-
Im guessing its a Warsop
-
Well that's where it's from and I have a suspicion by whom it was made
-
It's now a Watson classic :D
-
Crespo you know Gary well you should know sometime he swaps bats with some players surely
The 3 you suggested way off the mark
-
It's now a Watson classic :D
now now
-
Rob pack? ???
-
I'm saying it's made by Hawk
-
I'm gonna guess MG2?
-
Right, we know it's not:
-Chase
-Puma
-Laver
-Spyder
-SAF
-Redback
-Vantage
-Ayrtek
-Lekka
-Rob Pack
-
Hows about Mr Milly
-
Would it be easier to guess the player rather than batmaker?
-
I assume the player is puma sponsered?
-
yep and plays IPL
i have told the full story to JONPINSON and Johan knows who it was meant for
-
Albie/ Morne Morkel
Andrew Flintoff
Adam Gilchrist
Brendon McCullum
-
Well they're exempt from our game then! :D
-
Wrong shape for Freddie
-
Albie Morkel
i thought it was odd as the heatwood on the wrong side but hey
http://www.espncricinfo.com/t20champions2010/content/image/476557.html?object=46248
-
Right, now to guess the batmaker.
B&S?
-
sorry on looks yash i will take mine over yours
BUT AS 100 NOT OUT said i perfer a performer than a looker but you have tapped it up
the square toe look at Ian Bell's bats then look at this one.....
Not saying it is his it clearly is not it is mine but can not wait
oh and for anybody asking why the title because i am talking about myself in the 3rd person role.....
-
Dave is it a Hawk then
-
not a chance and one thing i must point out i suspect most pro's get there bats from more than one maker
It is a Sareen Sport bat made by there master batmaker and given to albie morkel during the last IPL
Not bad for a Indian bat yes it top of the pile
-
Well it arrived here we go
27 streight as a die grains
2.7 1/5 oz
Biggest edge size 41mm
Taps up well too

once again sorry for the poor picture quality i do not own a camera just a a phone
iam not a fan of heartwood but it looks quite nice will do a performance review after a few nets and further knocking in
-
Even with the dodgy quality camera shots, you can still see that it looks like a stunner. And I dare say it should perform very well indeed! ;)
-
as you know Pete it's not often i pay full price i did for this...
