Not my choice, this bat was made for Michael Brown but he preffered the 1.5" shorter blade combo. Handle is pretty thin as Brownie feels this gives him more "touch"...

Impressive mate! Top looking bat and I'm sure it will be a top performing bat as well!

As Washington said why the change in length?

Looks big for its weight I must say...

Probably looking big due to the shorter blade, didnt ask how big the edges are tbh but will measure when I get it!

Wouldn't say they were the new 'in' bats.  Gary has been churning out top quality sticks for a good while.  I'm on my 3rd.

I guess that's true Mark. But at the moment, there really does seem to be a kind of frenzy about them. Great for Gary though! Wouldn't be surprised if he gets quite a few orders in the coming months due to lovely examples like all the Redbacks I've seen and used :)

I disagree, there was a frenzy but *camp voice* 'that was soooooo laaaaast year'

They are beautiful bats, mine is brilliant.

Agree with Richie - there was a frenzy on here, but it was some time ago.

Wow! Thin handle you say? Remember Gary commenting on another thread saying Brownie liked really think handles, presume he'd be a 1 grip man too

funny enough I had something similar done to a bat a couple of years ago. Took an inch off and thinned the handle. Felt great but effected the pickup slightly and the vibrations seemed worse when I hit one off the toe. Tempted to get a custom one made to similar specs in future.

Is Brown short by any chance? As I'm 5'7 I've always felt happier with with a shortened face bat ie. harrow/6 - even my daughters size 5 feels very nice.

He's not overly tall...I think about 5'10-11 from memory. Sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.. :S
Actually says on Wikipedia he's 6ft.. :)

That's why I said 5"10 as well...I thought that, got a couple of autographs from him, might get him to sign my Redback..? Good shout? :)
