These are PeteHosk's Pics, so I will try and get my own up soon
(My first review so bear with me)
When Pete PMd me saying he had a top notch Kook available for £140 I could not resist. The bat weighs 2.10 but has an excellent pick up, and could be mistaken for a 2.7 or 2.8. It has 8/9 reasonably straight grains, but I was not too fussed about the appearance as long as it performs well, and it has 33mm edges.
My First impression when I started to knock it in was the responsiveness of the bat, it seemed to ping like other bats I had had, even though it was not knocked in at all.
I sent it away to be professionally knocked in and it came back the next day. The man who knocked it in commented on its 'Ping', and I could simply not wait to get it to the nets today. In comparison to my Ice 850 it is in another league, and the Ice is an absolute gun.

First Net
I tried it today in the nets, first against the bowling machine and then against the real thing. I noticed how even playing defensively the ball seemed to come off the bat very well, and it seemed to go a lot further than I would usually expect a defensive shot to go. Against the bowlers I opened up a little and one of our 'pace' bowlers found out just how good the middle was when I drove one back at him and he tried to stop it (broken thumb)  :(
The whole bat just seems to fly, and although I was not timing the ball very well I was very happy with how the bat went. Certainly the best bat I will have owned and for £140 it is an absolute bargain.

Top bat you've got there then mate! I guess it's a not a 10 visually, but I guess it is a belter!! :) Hope you score a lot of runs with it mate :) Wonder if Pete has any more special kooks knocking around? ;)

Dave: I think it was 4, may have been 3, and Pete said this or the only 2.8 he had would have been good so I am happy with my choice.
Espo: Im just glad you didnt (No Offence)
