I think they are very classy, what are your thoughts on them? Has anyone used them?
-
Bit too classy in my opinion, if my name was Rupert and I drove a vinatge MG and drank Pimms these would be right up my street!!
-
lolol
-
Ease off Dan - you are describing half my team mates (the other half are saffers) !!!
I really like this kit, personally - not a cheap date though
-
It does look nice, however I agree with Washington they are too classy and it would take a certain person to pull them off.
-
Love their bats, but not really a fan of their softs.
I have been partial to the odd pimms in my time but doubt I could get away with these ;)
-
They look very Bulky when on, which isn't a bad thing. But not my preference.
-
Pads look fabulous, but I'm less keen on the Gloves. I don't think the brown works as well on them as it does on the pads.
M & H stuff in general is nice, but there's definately some 'paying for the name' syndrome going on. On the other hand, they've spend time building up a good reputation so fair play to them.
-
I have those pads and I get on pretty well with them, even tho I received some abuse by the oppo for having suede pads lol....
I bought the gloves, pads, bat and bag package a couple of years ago...
Sold the gloves as they felt far too bulky and the bag for being too small!!
-
Canners what bat did you pick up?
-
yeah I think their pads are the best of what they do, I'm going to weigh my puma pads a bit later on and see how they compare in weight.

The harlequin I've had 3 of em... Still have the original one
-
didn't fancy the distinction then? Were yours custom or just buy off the rack (so to speak)
-
Thinking about I prob should have gone for the distinction.... As I prefer a Lowish middle on my bats!! I went for the harlequin as it was described as more of a touch players bat. I would definitely recommend m&h bats... The retro I had was immense and produced some pretty big hits..
In answer to your question it was a off the shelf jobby
-
No one has mentioned the tan leather kit bag.
-
I had that mate was a rubbish bag was tiny could barely fit all my kit in there....
Sold it on eBay along with the gloves....
I got £90 for the bag :)
-
Very posh that bag Mike.
-
I would have that bag for a weeked in the country... admiring it from the veranda with a nice gin and tonic!
Some chap I played against last season had a brown leather dunlop bag, with a small bat pocket for his beaten up GN Scoop. Was as vintage as they come. Probably couldn't get much more than a pair of gloves in there though.

A bit too posh for me
I am starting to wonder if i should have kept it for a weekend bag now, that veranda and g&t sounds a good picture lol
-
The gloves are really comfortable, just ridiculously expensive!

I agree they're really comfy....
Do u not find them bulky though?
-
To be fair, the duffle bag at the bottom of the Bags page does look fairly nice... :) The pads and gloves are too classy I have to say, only a certain type of person can pull them off, which seems to be the general consensus. I do have a bat cover, very nice I think.
-
I only like the Distinction pads. Everything else (apart from the bats) isn't my cup of tea, or glass of Pimms if you like.
-
They're keeping gloves are snazzy
-
Sorry for the bump but due to having the Distinction pads I thought it would be best to add my view.
They are very comfortable pads and feel very nice. The stitching started to break on mine so I sent mine back to the shop owner who I got them from to see if he can get any response from M+H, however he sold quite a few of these pads and I am the only person who has had any complaints with them, so I think it was a short term issue with the thread rather than poor quality.
Overall I love my pads, I just hope I can get them back and fixed really soon to be able to use them again.
-
they look SOOOO STUPID!!!!!!
