Anyone staying up for it? I'm trying to, don't know how long I will last. Think I'll try and get an hours kip between 2-3am.
So I'm guessing Prior and Tredwell come in for Davies and Swann? Maybe Davies will play purely as a batsman, I doubt it though.

Poor ending really from England, im sure it will be blamed on an ashes hangover. Should never have let Aus recover from 140 odd for 8
How did you get on staying up Matt? I woke up at 5:30 and watched and then took my ipad to work to watch the ending. Wish i hadnt bothered now

As soon as England won the ashes again I had a feeling this would be the same as last year, that Australia would win most of the one dayers, so far I'm right but still 5 more to go.

What were they doing with the bowling? Tactically, with Aus at 140-8 you *MUST* bowl your best bowlers that will get you wickets.
As one person on the BBC Live text put it: LIMP.
not going to win the world cup like that!

I guess they'll always point at Anderson, Broad and Swann werent playing who would walk straight into the 1 day team, but year tactically it was a bit inept. Thought Tremlett bowled really well

I was looking forward to watching the highlights this evening as well. Were we awful?

I saw most of it, watched up until White/Marsh started getting a bit of a partnership together so I decided to go for a tactical nap until the break then watched most of the England innings until Morgan was out and then decided to sleep on the sofa.
@iand123 - I would say anyone would point at them as the bowlers did their job really, it was more the batsmens fault. Strauss, Bell, Trott and Morgan all got themselves in but noone went and anchored the innings.

The bowling was pretty good for about 40 odd overs, didnt kill the aussies off when they had the chance. Worth watching for Marsh's knock though.
Batting was a bit toothless and reminiscent of England a few years ago

Yeah i know what you mean. Strauss out, what has he ever done for English cricket anyway? ;)

Prior had to keep without name and no. on back of his top because of being a last minute addition ha. And his pads don't look like the Slaz ones he uses either.
