Title: Centurian Cricket
Post by: tim2000s on January 26, 2011, 02:16:48 PM
Anyone come across these guys?

http://www.centuriancricket.co.uk/index.html (http://www.centuriancricket.co.uk/index.html)

Their website looks like it used to belong to some garden design company - check out the Windows frame message...

They seem to invoke the Newbery ideal in their rhetoric!

Doesn't look very professional, for example:

"When sending your details to Warrior Cricket you" http://www.centuriancricket.co.uk/termsandconditions.html

And: http://www.colourmygarden.co.uk/

They're also testing a Mongoose on one of the images (actually it's an image pinched off the Mongoose site)

And Centurion is spelt with an 'o' not an 'a', rendering the Roman links pointless!

Edit: Ohhh, I see, there is already another Centurion Cricket. Fair play, but not original!

Looking at the branding, my guess is that the founder is a guy called Ian...

And Ian is probably very good friends with/related to Jacqui from Colour my garden, for obvious reasons...

Maybe Ian is Jacqui at weekends?
