It's not ideal, but will help ease the situation we have had this winter where the World Cup is following a gruelling tour.

Have to agree with you there Tom. The Ashes has a special atmosphere around it and to have it too frequent will dent that for me

Is being in Aus for 5 months really that different from being in aus for 3 and then in India for 2 like this winter?

It's looking like it could well be 2013 Ashes, then into the 13/14 Ashes then into the 2014 T20 World Cup (Bangladesh) then IPL.

Hopefully they cut down on the meaningless ODI's in between.

\Would be ok as long as they don't tack a 7 match ODI series onto the end of the Ashes tour.

I thought they had to have the 7 ODI's due to the status the ashes test series has
