Title: Refurbed Bat
Post by: pacman75cricket on January 29, 2011, 08:05:49 PM
HI done a refurb on this bat I got off outlaw, left stickers on as like the GM & know difficult to get original GM.

Fingers crossed done a decent job glued & clamped split.  (novice mistake slight indentations from clamp)

Sanded & new face & tape applied.

You could send it off to Gm and have them replace the stickers they did a mint job with mine

Looks good, if you want to avoid the clamp marks next time, just cut up a cheap thin grip and put a piece of that under the jaws of the clamp.

Novice mistake next time will use greater amount of padding

Enjoyed doing the repair if it holds well may do more repairs refurbs in the future

Fingers crossed it turns out to be a bargain as light @ 2lb8 before scuff applied
