Title: willow Type identification needed

please help all Willow expert's in identifying this piece of timber for me.

I found a sound of hollowness with ball, feel tough to shave off wood on back, last pic with a genuine english G1 bat.  thanks all.

Are you asking if you think it's English willow? because I think it is.

It appears from the scratch marks on the cuts you've made near the toe that the tools blade you are using isn't sharp enough or the cut is too deep, so it's gouging rather than slicing. Higher up the bat on the back you've cut against the grain and that's why there's all that nasty tear out.

I can't help with the hollow sound though.

Hollow sound maybe delamination.

thanks mate, but same leather spoke shave works just great and take wood very easily on another G2 bat , it was so hard to make a single stroke on this bat.
