Been playing around with various bats recently and was very impressed by the Mongoose Cor3 Series 1, both on pickup and the chunky edges. The one I saw seemed to ping pretty well all over, but how do these bats go in games? I'm looking at a 2'8 (normally use a 2'7 SH bat), so be interested in what weights people have as well.

i would have thought you'd need to go lighter than your standard bat as i can imagine theyre pretty bottom however althought the one i picked up in Romida felt pretty good
-
Go for the same weight or even a little heavier as your match bat I did not get in with the one I had as felt really light even though was only 2oz lighter than what I normaly use

i was totally wrong my apologies lol

I've tried a couple and despite the huge toe the pickup seem as good as any other bat. I tried it at the same weight against the GM Luna/Icon 606 (similar priced bats/quality to the series1) and couldn't feel any noticable difference.

I have a feeling 606s are bleached, as an aside.
I pondered getting a 2.11 Cor3, when I usually go for about 2.9, as it picked up well and was like a log...

Why appologise you only gave your opinion and I gave mine from my own experience my tt is the same weight as my others best just stick with the weight your comfertable with

Saw a couple at globe sports in Bristol and they looked lovely. Real struggle gettingout without buying one!

I used a 2.13 one last year which was the same weight (near enough) to my match bat and it felt different imo. This had 2 grips so pick up was nice but in all honesty not my cup of tea. Having said that, if I used something around the 2.9 region my thoughts may be different..

In fairness mate I found this to be the case. Tried one at 2'9 (my ideal weight) and...well it had alot of wood in the toe. Can't defy physics so it felt heavy on pickup.
I think it is the MMi they say to have one a bit heavier.

i had a 2lb 10/11 one which i loved it and it went well it was just a little heavy for me, cant commment on pick up really as not too fmailiar with 2lb 11 bats (but i like a 2lb 8 and it felt too heavy)

I have a really good one at 2. 7 made from
a crazy piece of wood
30 mm edges and 26 mm Toe and feather light pick up and a good punch
it was the azrafal bat and would let it go for a reasonable price
it is a great bat and I have a lot of
fun with it and reddened a few bowlers cheeks
nice bat and well made

I had a go with a mate's one a while back, but didn't really like it for some reason... :( I think that would probably have changed had our school nets not been so (No Swearing Please)!
