Just wondering what the difference between the ACIS Elite and ACIS Elite Raw is apart from the appearance/finish?
-
Rik
No difference in them in terms of the materials used but the RAW has a carbon finish and a lacquer coat of it to bring out the carbon fibre weave.
-
Thank you - one further question and I don't mean to sound rude when I ask, why is the price difference between the two so large in that case?
Cheers.
-
As the RAW helmets are made via a 2 cure process rather than a 1 process method to ensure that they come out in a superior finish if they are to be left unpainted as such
-
Knew there would be a reason :) Thanks.
Do Ayrtek still do an offer for Premium Forum Members?
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm pretty keen to organise a helmet ASAP.

Rik
I afraid not this offer expired at the end of 2010 due to increases in raw materials and VAT we could no longer continue it.
-
just like to say the laqure on the lids tom is pretty strong as well? not sure if your just using normal car laquer etc?
but dropped my hallemt on sports hall floor on sunday and there wasnt even a mark on the whole shell
-
Fair enough Tom.
Thanks for the info gents - now it's just down to making a decision and finally ordering a helmet! :)
-
buy the raw one Rik you'll defo notice the difference
-
were looking at offering a tinted colour lacquer on the RAW helmets as well if we can pin it down over the next week or so!
-
I also wondered the other day if you had any plans to sell through online retailers. found myself looking at helmets online (when looking at prices of albion centurions) and wondered why aryteks werent there...
-
£199! :0 thats a lot more money!
hope they sell well tom, i was struggling to convince myself to get a standard elite at the old prices, looks like ill have to settle for a premier lol :(
-
Yeah wont be priced to everyone liking but unfortunately with carbon fibre and kevlar its not a cheap material to work with....on the up side the Premier is still a great product and still lighter than many other brands.
-
Thankfully some of us purchased these a while ago :):):):)
-
and some for under 100 pound customised
right place at the right time i guess

love the blue and the silver!
-
CHROME!! Bowlers/fielders would love it!
-
nice tom. wasnt as expensive as you where saying before was it? you managed to find some where normal?
-
Just a small sample of what's viable but u get the idea....with the raw helmet we are looking into offering the choice of colours to the customer.
You will get a tint to the helmet but the RAW shell will still be able to be seen through the tint......few other extras will be going on the RAW helmet that won't be standard on the other helmets as it's obviously the very top end product :)
Simmy been twisting a few arms ;) Lol
-
@procricket - under a 100? Right time, right place definitely...!
I prefer the RAW but I think with shipping costs on top it's going to be the Elite...
