Title: Cork springs in bat handle

A bat I recently acquired has 3 cork springs in the handle. Never seen cork being used before - just rubber, or the carbo cores which are a different beast altogether.

Any thoughts from the batmakers and connoiseurs on the forum reg. handles with cork springs?

Think a few years ago i had a Bernie Facer bat 3 springs cork/rubber mix
