Title: Grey Nicolls Oblivion Review
Post by: kibbs_11 on February 15, 2011, 08:58:08 PM
i picked this up from my local cricket shop total cricket in ashton-under-lyne, cost me £180, has 13 grains and weighs 2.11, however i usually use 2.8 bats and the pick up and balance of this bat is great which allows me to get over the extra 3 ounces, not had a net with it yet but just knocking it in the mallet comes off it really well, looking forwards to using it asap, but ill let the pictures do the talking...

Have you added another grip at the bottom of the handle there mate, or is that Round Handle/Oval Handle balance standard on GN Oblivions?

I've had a Millennium that came with that grip set-up.

I could be wrong, but I think you'll find the handle itself may be shaped like that? I am sure that they have realised that so many people like that setup now?

It is standard, they are semi-oval, and GN has done this to make the bottom feel more ovalish.

The handle does seem more oval than usual but i believe this certainly helps with the pickup, however ive added another half grip as thats what ive done for the past couple of years to help loosen my bottom hand
