Went into my local cricket shop yesterday and noticed that the redbacks all had angled toes. what are the advantages to doing this. also i think Gary may have tweaked with the shape of the allegiance, or maybe my eyes are going funny on me.

its something they do up a millichamp and hall too where i believe gary worked for a while or maybe learnt his trade there early on? its to reduce the effect when tapping the bat down on the floor i think! sorry if i am wrong!
-
Nixon do the same as well
-
I think I read in another post he was making a some changes to the Allegiance profile for 2011
-
i have had two redbacks, they didnt have it, this is something new??

Laver do it too.

I'm not sure with regards to Redback. If you look at the profile pictures of the bats on their website - all have angled toes.
