All i can say is, good luck Englands' bowlers, and fileders i'd stay on the edge of the ring!
-
Broad out!
-
Looks flat + India batting first, need a good start from the bowlers
-
Oh dear. Massive pressure on Anderson today - he needs to be outstanding. And if he can find a bit of swing that would be a bonus.
-
The way England are bowling, I just can't see England keeping India to a decent target!!
I reckon India will end up with 300+ and England will do ok against the run rate, but lose too many wickets and therefore finish up all out for 220/230 all out!
As much as I would like to say it will be a close match, I think England's bowlers are a little low in confidence, and in these conditions Anderson will be costly and no swing means he won't be as affective as he can be in other conditions!
Broad would have been good so I think he'll be missed as he has developed into a very good ODI bowler!! And couldn't see Yuvraj hitting 6 sixes off him these days! But alas, it wasn't meant to be!
Still, early stages - and if England to lose against an incredibly strong looking batting Indian line-up, then we should use this as a team building match to help sort the bowling and fielding out!!
-
wheres tremlett?
-
Swanny! What a start that would have been!
-
Three balls in and I can't take any more
-
Belly! Grow a little!
-
1st ball drop could be expensive at least signs of movement
-
Quiet start to proceedings.
-
Hard to call that a drop he only got tips to it
-
Nobody deserves that sort of luck. Damn Sehwag.
-
Hard to call that a drop he only got tips to it
Here is the cricinfo commentary on the catch:
"Anderson to Sehwag, FOUR, Dropped Oh dear! Ladies and gentleman, Graeme Swann has dropped Virender Sehwag. FIrst ball. It curved away from the off-stump line, Sehwag pushed away from the body, bat well stretched out and got a thick edge. Swann lunged to his right at second slip but the ball burst off the palms. Very tough chance. Collingwood might perhaps have taken it. Or Richie Richardson"
So not fingertips, ahahha, go Australia (I know they're not playing)
-
Well the commentators on sky and the image I saw was not palms
Ball swinging for jimmy as well but how cheap is sachin still using that tattered old bat
-
Imagine if we could roll India out. How much of a boost would that give us?
-
All I'm saying is that England are no good, ahahha.
-
The Aussies still won't win it maybe start a fight but would prob loose that ha
-
Are you trying to be a (No Swearing Please) langer? ???
Or have you just got that natural Aussie built-in arrogant ability??
-
I reckon they have a chance, although my money is still on Sri Lanka
You know us Aussies Pete, when it involves England, the arrogance is taken to another level, ahah :)
-
It's ok pete the convicts are just holding on to the last thing they can remotely do odi's as they are useless in tests never been any good at t20 so let them big themselves up Pakistan have a strong chance for me but if India can bowl well through the tournament there batting may be too strong for everyone
-
Technically I'm not a convict as my Grand Parents are;
Scotish and Macaedonian
and the others
Dutch and Australian.
So I'm not full convict, only like 25%, ahah
-
Australia are number 1 in ODI's, Enlgand are 5th. Can't argue with the facts, Australia are number one, so anything you say about Australia is only hurting England.
-
We are not that good in odi's but we have never been but still higher than you lot at tests and t20 so will take 2/3 :)
-
I'll agree that untill Australia work out their selection process, that you guys are alot better then us at tests.
With ODI's we are clearly better.
With the t-20, I always say you are only good as your last performance and I'm pretty sure that we beat you in the last t-20, ahahah.
I love stiring the pot, just my way :)
-
World t20 champions ashes holders nuff said
-
Like I said, I agree that England are better at tests as evident by the 3-1 result in the Ashes.
But I suppose you can claim Hit and Giggle champions as well if you like, ahah.
-
It's only hit and giggle because you lot are (No Swearing Please) at it and can't get close to winning I'm sure if you had won it you would be shouting from the rooftops how hood a format it is
Bad stumping miss from prior though
-
Arrogant bloody aussies!!! when they stuck them on that island they should have built a big wall around it!ive met a few aussies, only liked one of them, and even he was a bit of a tool!
-
Tendulkar - stop picking on swanny!
-
Tendulkar get out
-
400 anyone?
-
Www.needawicketquick.com
-
Www.ineedtoborrowsachinsbat.com
-
Seems to have worked :)
-
Www.needawicketquick.com
That is some website...worked instantly
-
Think it's more the talent at the end of his bay that sores the runs! Borrowing rooneys boots isn't gonna make u a better player lol
-
You know the better the bat the better you play Tom jeesh
Especially if your bats were pre owned by a top player so your screwed as the previous owner of your two was useless ha
-
Why is Anderson useless on Indian wickets?
-
Still a decent blade though tom
-
Why is Anderson useless on Indian wickets?
I though this might have been pretty obvious...
-
if the sky commentators make one more reference to india winning the 1983 world cup, im going to turn my tv off... i dont care!!!!!!
-
Didn't notice Sachin's new bat...wonder how many runs it will get him... :) - but for England's sake, get out damnit! :D
-
Can he have the old one back as he was scoring less with that
-
the scorecard at this moment in time looks like as if they are against a minnow side.. . ... 400 on the cards
a ton to the master. . . . . .superman
-
Wow Anderson finally takes another wicket in India
-
There was Definatly some ping off that leading edge
-
if the sky commentators make one more reference to india winning the 1983 world cup, im going to turn my tv off... i dont care!!!!!!
In the same area, if I hear one more mention about India's "gloriously long line-up" I'm gonna put my foot through the telly. They bat to 6. Pathan's a slogger, Harbhajan's a slogger, Khan's a slogger, Chawla can bat. Sick of it.
Oh, and I do not like Sachin Tendulkar, and not just for his batting abilities!
-
Wow Anderson finally takes another wicket in India
oh Jeet boy your going to tell me how good Khan is now aren't you.
Jeet are you a gambling man i'am and i will have a bet about India not winning the world cup if you like
-
If I hear one more reference to 'bowling vicket to vicket' by the indian commentator i'm a gonna kick off aswell!
-
now now it is there world cup that is a bit low brow....
I want to travel to India at some stage there whole set up is amazing fans and everything
og and if anybody want to play tendulkar in the playground i have some pads in the for sale :o
-
Bresnan ! , outstanding !!!
-
Why don't more people bowl yorkers?
-
Feel sorry for harbhajan's foot !
-
Maybe he can't bowl :):):):)
-
And Anderson is useless in these conditions , went for over 150 runs in the 2 games so far
-
My prediction is coming true! 300+ and even though India's weak link is their bowling, I still can't see us chasing anywhere near this! We should have bowled more wicket to wicket with subtle variation, which I think India will, as they will vary their bowling to the home conditions! But I can see England batsmen getting themselves out and playing shots they don't need to!
-
I can see a 220ish all out sort of a job here.
-

Gonna stick my neck out here, we needed someone like Broad in place of Anderson. Or Tremlett. Both would have been very good on this pitch. Both have good variations, both have decent control. Bresnan did the job today, no-frills, just honest line-length bowling with good variations and wonderful control. We need more Yorkshiremen. Badly.
-
In any normal conditions Anderson is an excellent bowler, which he has proved. But these flat Asian conditions are so not suited to him! I tend to agree that Tremlet would have been a good choice, but as he would be seen as a risky choice and we only so 'safe' choice, then that was never going to happen!
We miss Broad, both for batting and bowling. But Delhi belly obviously hit hard! :(
As I said in my post before the match started, India will score 300+ and England all out for 220-230!
-
great start!I said in th 31st over of indias innings wed get about 220 and lose by about 150 runs- hope im wrong!
-
couple of dashing boundaries from are two boys out there
-
All to gain by chasing these down....will be a massive win if we do it!
-
I have a feeling Pietersen will get a Ton...
-
I have a feeling Pietersen will get a Ton...
my moneys on trott to get the century, anyway im off to wembley cmon the gooners and england ! :)
-
Good start from the boys
-
It's like the Indian commentators just said themselves, the bowling (and fielding) is the slight weakness India have!
And England have to come out firing to stand any chance at all! But as they said, come out firing but carefully! And that's where England fall down! We have found some excellent ways of getting ourselves out! And unless either Strauss or KP can hit tons, then 220-230 is my guess with a few overs to spare!! >:(
-
Strauss hit the cover off that and nobody appealed.
-
I actually tuned away thinking he was out, then nothing happened.
-
Adantage of an Indian crowd far too loud ha ha ha
-
Crowd noise when you're there covers a lot of noise!! that was a nick but I am sure that nobody heard it!! :(
They reckoned that when the crowd get going, the slip and keeper have to shout to each other to be heard!!
-
Good luck to the umpires then
-
they can only judge on movement off the bat then, pretty tough stuff
-
Same with communication whilst running!!
at the moment, they have to look closely at each other with no hesitation!!! Dodgy!
-
Oh
-
How unlucky was that
-
I had that twice at indoor yesterday, nailed it at a guy at silly mid off, hit his hip and ballooned to another player. TWICE.
-
The bowler was protecting himself and the ball just happened to pop into the air and fall into his lap.
KP has to feel more than a little unlucky! Especially when you consider how flukey Sahwag was in the first over!!
But that's the game of cricket for you! Sometimes everything goes your way. But other times, nothing seems to. :(
At least we have started in a positive manner, although I am still convinced that we will be all out!!
-
Chawla starting to spin his web
-
Some web ;)
-
If Chawla wasn't bowling so many pie's he'd have them in real trouble.
Trying to score at this rate when you can't pick the wrong'un is mightly risky.
-
England are ahead of the run rate, but as I said, they will have a mini collapse somewhere!
If India's mega-strong batting can collapse, then I have a feeling we will soon follow.
Nice to see us putting up a bit of a fight though, and against probably the strongest batting team in the world cup!
Shame we couldn't keep their run rate down a little more - could have made a really close and interesting match! ???
-
Still count run them close, going to need them to keep wickets in hand and probably have a few massive overs in the final powerplay.
-
need to put away the bad balls if were going to get anywhere near the total. Strauss is cramping himself by trying to cut the spinners....need other options as can see him being caught behind or bowled off one!
-
For me strauss still doesnt look totally in control . .
-
Agree! Im at highgate watching it now. NLs nets are better at this time of year, but where's the roof netting gone?! :o
-
How did Bell get away with that one then!!! Expect a stream of expletives from Jeet :D
-
Because impact was over 2.5 meters so hawkeye is not as accurate but I agree it was out
-
How did Bell get away with that one then!!! Expect a stream of expletives from Jeet :D
He got away with it because it's perfectly clear all umpires, officials and indeed the computer hardware that the DRS system is run on are all notoriously racist.
If it wern't true, India would win every ODI by scoring 1800 runs and bowling the opposition out for 0 in 1.4 overs.
:D
-
Lol - bet that gets taken the wrong way :D
-
Of course, I'm being a racialist. :D
To understand the rules fully, have a look aroud youtube.
In brief synopsis, if any non Indian/Pakistani fans make any reference to the India/Pakistan teams that is anything other than glowingly positive, they are being racist.
However the twist in the tail is this;
Indian/Pakistani fans can say what they like about the team of any other nation because for us (non Indian/Pakistani fans) to accuse the Indian/Pakistani fans of being racist is itself being racist towards them.
I emphasise the :D before anyone gets on their high horse.
:D
-
On a tangent - Bell just played the most textbook drive i have seen in some time! He's racing towards 50.......Pete, I think the 220 all out was a touch pessimistic from you!!!
-
Didn't Boycs make the comment today though that with the state of the ball in the Indian innings and the slow bowling rate by England had it been Pakistan they would have been accused of all sorts of stuff.
-
Are you accusing the ICC of being a corrupt white supremacist organisation....... i didnt think so :D
Bell - massive mow to bring up his 50 - classy!
-
Of course not. But let's just say sometimes the rules are applied to their spirit and sometimes to their letter!
-
Back on the match when should England take the Powerplay? I think best time is after the 34th over when they change the ball.
-
Indians starting to panic here. Could England do the unthinkAble here
-
Indians starting to panic here. Could England do the unthinkAble here
What do you MEAN , do we think , there going to !
-
Yup, Indian have no plan now I think. Just praying for a wicket and try and take it from there.
-
Game of the world cup so far
-
Ok, ok....so perhaps I was a little short of the mark!
But the game is far from over yet.
The fat lady may just be changing into her singing clothes, but she is nowhere near singing yet!!! In fact, she's not even warming up and doing her scales yet.
85 more runs to get may not seem like a lot but this game can change in seconds!
But it is nice to see our batsmen playing calmly and not trying to hit the leather off every damn shot! :(
I will still be really shocked if we pull this one off!! :o
-
What do you MEAN , do we think , there going to !
it not that unthinkable remember were not a too shabby side either...
-
See - another stroke of luck for Bell there!
That LBW was very lucky indeed! The 2.5M rule is the only thing that saved him!
In fact, I believe that the umpire can decide whether to rule it out or not with the 2.5M rule. And the fact that Khan wouldn't take one or two steps forward and him and Dohni were arguing with him earlier about fielding positions, as I'm sure that it would have p155ed Bowden off a little!! ;) Always stay on the good side of the umpires and don't wind them up!
Anyway, it is a damn good match so far! Not the best wicket for bowlers but there is movement and turn!
-
at leasr strauss has put all the doubters who said he is not an odi player to bed
top run scorer in the tourni so far
-
were is JEET
What has happened
were is plan b
do you want to take that bet
-
I got to say, that India really need to pick themselves up a little! They look very down and unless they can pull themselves back into life, they are ion danger of giving this away! We can knock the Aussies as much as we want to, but one thing they do very well is to never know when they're beaten! They give 100% even when it looks a hopess situation! So India need to have that attitude now if they want to keep England from getting this easily!
Good variation from H.Singh!!
-
Careful Dave - we should know by now that we are very capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of vistory!
61 runs is still a lot to get!
And a dropped catch in the slips!! :o
It can change just like that!!!!!!!
-
not on this game it is over
If we lose this game then we want shooting..
-
will be a massive win if we bag it and make people sit up and pay attention to us as a serious contender.....im not counting any chickens just yet tho as dont want to jinx it lol
-
We are the best at doing that Pete, but the current Windies team must be close on out heels.
-
here we go it starts with a runner
empty seats and there very quiet now
-
well your in the perfect place to do the honours dave
-
Indian fans leaving now!! poor show in my books that is at least back ur team until the end
-
I've needed a wee for about 40 mins now but refuse to change my position on the sofa!!! Not that I'm superstitious or anything :)
-
were is jeet
-
Bell gone, could not be a bad thing, Colly to see us home with Strauss
-
I've needed a wee for about 40 mins now but refuse to change my position on the sofa!!! Not that I'm superstitious or anything :)
If the sofa is leather, just go in it! You can give it a wipe later!!!
Ohh, Bell's gone!

-
i have jinxed england
jeet will be on here soon
-
bressie had 2 goes at a hat trick didnt he lol
-
Very Intersting now.
I'm going to say that the Indian supporters are the worst i the world - I'm going to say they are bandwagon supporters. Jump off when it doesn't look good, but I bet you they will be like I knew it would happen, ahaha.
-
they will be trying to get back into the ground now
-
time for these boys to step up and earn their keep!
-
And Jeet will return
-
I think it's still Englands to lose but they took the powerplay at the wrong time. Either they should have taken it early or waited for Zaheer to get a couple of hours in. He would have bowled anyway to get a wicket.
-
I'm pessimistic
-
tailor made situation for Collingwood.
Who's got the bigger balls here
-
Like i said if we do not win this we want shooting..
Bloody hell the Indian Commentators have piped up,,,
-
If the sofa is leather, just go in it! You can give it a wipe later!!!
Ohh, Bell's gone!
Sorry boys I couldn't hold it any more
-
load of (No Swearing Please)
-
awful from Colly
Zaheer doing a Bresnan.... come on England
-
colly should be put out to pasture....
Not good enough in any form of cricket for England
-
We can still do it!! Bell played a stupid shot but to be fair strauss got a decent ball, this is why india are world class, england bottling it when it comes down to it!!!
-
if ur gonna slog at least go down the line of the ball
-
We can still do it!! Bell played a stupid shot but to be fair strauss got a decent ball, this is why india are world class, england bottling it when it comes down to it!!!
want to have a bet with me India do not win the world cup...
Had enough of this negativity
-
Lol. . .England pls dont be the nearly men again.
-
Yes mate, name your price (reasonable, im not rich!) Just got a feeling no matter what the result today that india will win it.
-
100 pound is my price mate
-
(No Swearing Please) (No Swearing Please) (No Swearing Please) (No Swearing Please) (No Swearing Please) (No Swearing Please) (No Swearing Please) (No Swearing Please) (No Swearing Please)
-

-
This is an amazing match
-
You can always count on england to mess it up
-

Sorry mate, thought you was gunnah say £20 or something, im not that rich!!! Happy to put £20 on india winning.
-
not over yet lads....just need to use our heads
-
SWANNY!!!!!!
-
I've been reading the cricinfo commentary and it says what England wouldn't do for Bopara, then someone else said what they wouldn't do for Eoin Morgan.
My view of it is - What England wouldn't do to actualy be good at ODI's, ahahhaha.
-
Am I right in thinking we've just had a batting powerplay?
-
Shut up convict
-
Rather be good and a convict, then crap and a Pom, ahahha
-
Side note - 3 of my grand parents are from Europe
-
go and kick some tv's we will prevail
-
It all good we had our moment
it only a game bud but i guess after the ashes mate you must get it in..
-
Being Australian and losing the Ashes means that while ODI's are on, means that I can bee happy in knowing that Australia is much better than England.
The Ashes are irrelevant as this is ODI's now. I'll admit that when Australia lost the Ashes I had to be quiet. But you can't go around saying, 'we won the Ashes' when this is a different format
-
we do not care about Australia read the title
-
England T/20 champions and Ashes holders.
I guess you lot have to have something, although you probably won't win this world cup.
-
:oah well his sheep must have run off :o
-
(No Swearing Please) off Yardy you piece of (No Swearing Please)
-
Bring on Swan
-
I was just saying that England are (No Swearing Please). Then the convict thing was bought up.
-
What's your point?
-
I wanted England to win tbh as I have the most annoying friend who lives in Australia, but he is Indian and goes for the team playing against Australia in every sport. I don't know why he lives here if he is so Anti-Australia, ahah.
By annoying, I mean facebook posts every 2 minutes about the world cup and anything else he can think of, ahah.
Never mind, it's late and I gotta go to bed
-
remember were bad losers but guess not as bad as the Indians at least were still watching
we might lose the battle but not the war
I do not like Australia i took great pleasure in going over there and beating you...
For what it is worth i have you on aust to win the world cup
-
Can't stand the indians, they have to be the most fickle fans going
-
COME ON!!
Bres using Aussie Slaz gloves
-
great game!!!
-
Im going to leave the Aussie/Pom thing as it is a different battle. I will wait till we play you next.
-
At least he's kept us in with a shout
-
Another twist in the story
-
Could do in by running, a lot harder, but possible
-
SHAZADDDDDD
-
anybody got a slaz for sale
-
MY SKY BOX DIED. NOOOOOOOOOOOO
-
2 off 1! ???
-
great game no matter what
-
A draw!!!
-
Shut up convict
Dave I know you have to feel like you are the biggest dog on this forum, your reasons for which are your own. But a fight like this reflects badly on everyone, you, him and the forum in general. Sometimes it's the bigger man who walks away. :)
-
Great result in the end, fair play to swann and shazad
-
wow that was fun
-
What bad supporters they should be cheering a great game
-
Unbelievable
-
India seem more down than we are after that epic.....lessons to be learnt from us i think!
-
Dave I know you have to feel like you are the biggest dog on this forum, your reasons for which are your own. But a fight like this reflects badly on everyone, you, him and the forum in general. Sometimes it's the bigger man who walks away. :)
it was a bit of fun taken in the right spirit by both sides
-
Jesus, that was amazing.
-
Dave I know you have to feel like you are the biggest dog on this forum, your reasons for which are your own. But a fight like this reflects badly on everyone, you, him and the forum in general. Sometimes it's the bigger man who walks away. :)
Jon
Please shut up mate who are you to talk...
I have no time for you and your ramblings.
Great game and Langer17 i can not wait either
Jon Woof Woof
-
England should have won in alll honesty. hats off to the boys. . . . we want to see a fight. . . . and fight they did....they will only get better i reckon.
India have problems in the bowling dept.
-
What bad supporters they should be cheering a great game
This really pisses me off, they dont appreciate good cricket, and go silent every time the game favours their opponent
-
I'm sooooooooooooooooooooo happy India didn't win
-
Dave - calm it down a little mate!
Great game!! Phew!
-
What an incredible game! Deserving end, superb batting from Shahzad...
-
England should have won in alll honesty. hats off to the boys. . . . we want to see a fight. . . . and fight they did....they will only get better i reckon.
India have problems in the bowling dept.
As do england, 600 plus conceded in two games.
-
Warney predicted a tie on twitter!
-
Cricket was the winner at the end of that...great spectacle for the tournament and will take some beating to watch a better game! Hundreds, 5 for's last over excitement it had it all.....after all the queuing to get a ticket i hope those fans who left early got what they deserved by missing the action
-
Jon
Please shut up mate who are you to talk...
I have no time for you and your ramblings.
Great game and Langer17 i can not wait either
Jon Woof Woof
Do you still have plans to become a mod?
-
never did mate it was a joke between me and Roco
-
Oh ok you should have enlightened us in the first place...
-
Presentation time now - interesed to see what each captain says!!! ;)
-
Whats up with straussy's haircut??
-
team changes for the next game.....
Bopara for Collingwood
maybe another batsman for Yardy???
-
Broad or Tremlet in for Anderson??
-
I know they were always going to give the MOM to one of the centurions, but surely Bresnan deserves a bit of a mention. 5 wickets, and the only bowler to go at less than 5 all day, plus a valuable 14 off 9 in the chase. On a day dominated by the bat, he stands out.
-
Broad or Tremlet in for Anderson??
Tremlett's not in the squad though.
-
tremlett was running on in one of them workman tops though
-
Jon

Jon Woof Woof
Haha quality
What a game of cricket tho....
-
And I thought the way Yuvraj and Dohni both said that the wicket started off bad when they were batting and then got flatter when England batted was bad sport! Spelt of sour grapes!!
India won the toss so it was their decision to bat first! Accept it!
-
India are a great side, I don't think there bowling is strong enough for them, I'm swaying towards the saffers for tournament winners
-

good call
-
Watch out for the pakistanis they have all bases covered if they click
-
Pakistan are inconsistent with their batting though - but their bowling is decent!
The Indians are the opposite! As I've said before, if Indian batsmen and Pakistan bowlers got together, then heaven help the rest of the teams!!!
Saffers are superb all-round team - strong with batting, bowling and fielding. But they just seem to choke in this competition!
The aussies are nowhere near as strong as they used to be with no strong spin option and inconsistent Johnson!! Strong batting though!
England fire sometimes, but you just know that a batting collapse is never far around the corner! :(
And Sri Lanka have proved that even they can fall apart in matches.
And the Kiwis just look a little too weak in depth in all areas currently.
So that leaves West Indies!! There you go - West Indies will win the world cup! LOL! ;)
-
Pakistan batting quite good now misbah is there as he consistently gets runs so helps there batting
-
lol at everyone who wrote england off
-
Superb game of cricket, very good advert for the 50over game.
-
Must not forget how poorly the England middle order played, very lucky that Strauss got us into a great position otherwise could have been embarrassing!
-
The middle order were coming in during the batting power play, so they all tried to play shots. And because are two set batsmen both went the run-rate mounted so the middle order started having to play big shots to get back up with the rate, Ian Bell is are man to blame!
-
Dave your obsession with me is quite worrying!!!
-
good banter
good game mate what did you think bud
-
Dave your obsession with me is quite worrying!!!
Careful Jeet....if he drops the soap, don't pick it up whatever you do! ;)
-
good banter
good game mate what did you think bud
Great game, 50 over cricket lives on!
Very disappointed with MS Dhoni and his terrible captaincy.
Batting was of a high standard
Looking forward, both sides bowling looks below par

i think after todays performance England have a great chance of winning this World cup.
I think they have a great all round side compared to the other teams. I also do not believe in the talk that they are tired due to the long Aussie series.
The only problem i see is if they can keep up the good batting performances.
-
i agree with Leo bar Strauss and Bell it just did not happen.
Lets be fair with some of the Indians on fire with the bat any bowler would have struggled today
I just enjoyed watching the game win or lose what a game and some great players some of the best around...
-
From what i've seen India do not look like world champs to me. The saffa's are looking like the team to go all the way.
-
Saffers will choke vs Oz in the knock out stages!
-
Indian basics are very poor: running between wickets (and not just the short run) and ground fielding is of a club level sometimes.
-
They are relying on their skill levels with the bat to get them out of trouble I'm my view, carrying a few passengers in the field with the older players.

Personally I think Yuvraj cost India around 25 runs when he batted. He couldn't time a thing, yet he's never interested in singles to rotate strike. His ego is outweighing his productivity to the team. His living on passed glories.

I liked how sachin midfielded that one on the boundary and no one said a word now that's respect
-
and they have a high percentage use of runners too. i'd like to see how many they use in relation to other teams and I bet Sehwag has them the most.

Where is Rohit Sharma and Uthappa. . . .
If Zaheer gets injured, its game over for them i reckon. what a bowler, just shows u dont need to be express.
-
rohit sharma...? oh jeez, where do i start?

Rohit is a waster, domestic bully, International flop. Uthappa is a wild hacker of the ball.
Zaheer is the rudder of the side, when he plays he drags the rest of the bowlers along into performing well.

Changes for the next game, Yardy out Bopara in. Colly will play

Very harsh . . . Jeet. I rate Rohit Sharma.
Im quite interested in how you rate Pakistan?
-
Couple a good bowling performances zaheer + bresnan unlucky not to be MOM on a flat batting pitch
-

Rohit has played 61 ODI's and has a pathetic average of 27 with 2 hundreds. In India he's touted as the new Tendulkar etc but he's mentally weak.
Pakistan are hot and cold. Batting is fragile, but bowling can destroy any side.
-
Look at Misbah Ul Haq now, he was on the verge of retiring a few months back but got a chance. Dont write Rohit off just yet. Some players need a kick up the backside to get them going.

Rohit knows he'll all ways be around the national side, so he won't change his ways.
Someone who averages 61 in F/C is all ways going to be in the selectors minds, however mediocre their performances are.
Rohit has competition now anyway, Ajinkya Rahane is pressing for selection and he's better than Rohit.

It's ok pete the convicts are just holding on to the last thing they can remotely do odi's as they are useless in tests never been any good at t20 so let them big themselves up Pakistan have a strong chance for me but if India can bowl well through the tournament there batting may be too strong for everyone
mmmm bit of a short memory fella. and the convict sledge is not all that relevant...

Of course, I'm being a racialist. :D
To understand the rules fully, have a look aroud youtube.
In brief synopsis, if any non Indian/Pakistani fans make any reference to the India/Pakistan teams that is anything other than glowingly positive, they are being racist.
However the twist in the tail is this;
Indian/Pakistani fans can say what they like about the team of any other nation because for us (non Indian/Pakistani fans) to accuse the Indian/Pakistani fans of being racist is itself being racist towards them.
I emphasise the :D before anyone gets on their high horse.
:D
Gold!

Why the short memory?
It's English Aussie banter all fun
He is an Aussie so he baits the English just the way it is
-
rohit sharma...? oh jeez, where do i start?
I'll save you the troubles Alvaro, don't ;)
Much better players around the Indian domestic scene. Mukund, Rahane, Badrinath, Pujara, Manoj Tiwary (fallen out of favour a bit though), Yashpal Singh (probably missed the boat at 29, but still a quality player) and a couple of others that I can't think of off the top of my head...

oh, I have no qualms copping it from english cricket fans, we've had it our way for decades, as a cricket fan I enjoyed many of the english ashes performances......we're not very good at loosing, primarily because we're not used to it....
anyway, last nights game was a ripper, well done to both teams. India are tournament favourites, but I think a number of teams are equally well placed, including england. Bresnan was massively impressive out here and is a fantastic cricketer.
-
L17, I don't know why you've baited everyone here, not constructive mate.
Bit of fun, nothing to it. I love to dish it out, but I also love to get it back. Makes it more fun
-
It was a good game though and I'm happy that India didn't win. Now I can pay my mate out
