I am not English nor I support England but if Shahzad hadn't struck that six game would have been out of England's hand!!
Take a bow son!!
-
good shout cd
-
Great shot especially as it was his first delivery!
-
Hell of a way to get off the mark!!
-
Was a cultured smash down the ground! It looks like he got something about him, well done Shahzad. The best match so far in the world cup.
-
The moment I first saw him bowl, I liked him, and what a quality shot, pumped straight for six!
-
I like shazhad, he seems to be a very good prospect, and as seen can hit a valuable boundary or two, plus he seems to like a confrontation/bit of aggression and intent, one to watch imo :)
-
Not convinced by his bowling yet tbh but was a beauty of a six
-
shahzad is a good player.
I played against him about 6 years ago in club cricket. You could tell then he was going to be someone special. The same goes for Tim bresnan.
-
Shahzad was fortunate to be selected for the WC, over Woakes who is a superstar in the making.
Shahzad's 6 was vital for England but his bowling was all over the show.

That 6fer against Australia...when the bowling conditions were tough...but that is only one game after all - any more examples Jeet?

IMO Woakes at 22, is superior to Shahzad. F/C stats for Woakes are fantastic.
-
Woakes is the more promising player for me as don't rate shazad that highly myself
-
For me Shazad showed he's got some balls. That matters for me.
-
IIRC Woakes pummeled Tait into the middle of next week in the 1st T20 to help win the game...
-
A world cup game against hosts in their backyard is a different proposition to a 20 over bash. but yeah i hear you, in his small tenure he has performed.
-
tbf jeet as a bowler i dont think you can judge wether he will be a superstar on 1 shot, magnificent as it may have been

i do quite like woakes, but that 6fer imo was much more a result of the batsmen going after woakes due to him being the weak link in the bowling in that game, and as such players got themselves out against him playing shots - your right in the one game regard, michael clarke got a 4fer against india and he isnt a bowling superstar ;)
