Anyone know if Nixon Cricket is still going in North Yorkshire?

Can’t seem to work it out from trying online?

It's an odd one for me because I feel like his top hand 'V in line with the blade is really good for playing straight in the V  (I know, what a surprise) but then I didn't like his really strobg bottom hand and thus I see why it seems inelegant. That top hand grip is good though!

The odd thing about Bradman's grip on the bat was that it seemed counter productive to his leg side heavy run scoring. Of the great batsmen or the game, he strikes me as the most inelegant. He seemed to make up for it though with exceptional hand speed

Bradman thought Tendulkar's technique similar to his.

Not a frequent poster but recently read Bradman's book on the art of cricket. I was just curious to know whether many people have read the book and in particular the section on the art of batting, as well as what they thought of the book's technical advice.

Personally, I've implemented his top hand grip (which involves getting my wrist really behind the ball) late last season and I've found this to help my defence and straight batted shots quite a lot so just wanted to see how others found his advice.

N.b. If anyone wants the pdf it can be found with a quick Google search I believe.

Your Cricket / Re: Shoe problems when fielding

Depends on the pitches you play on. I would usually use spikes any time I'm playing on a grass wicket but with the recent dry weather in Scotland I've been playing everything in the rubber pimples I wear for artificial turf games. Plenty grip but they don't catch in dry turf the same way.

Your Cricket / Shoe problems when fielding

Hey all

I have half spikes because I thought they were the best option but I have found that they constantly get stuck when Im running, whether its fielding or batting. I saw a video where Kohli was batting in a test match with no spike and it got me wondering whether I would be better off doing the same? or maybe I need to go to full spikes instead?

Please advise
