I purchased a grade 2 Hattori from Matt with the shoulder of the bat left 1/2" longer so that there would be less handle exposed and my hands would be closer together.
I asked for 2lb 9oz dressed and that is exactly what I got. There are 5 - 6 pretty straight grains and it's a lovely looking stick for a grade 2. The pick up is excellent and the bat already feels like an extension of my arm after two nets. The pressing must have been light as the response is excellent after only two hours knocking in a two hours in the nets. I could not recommend H4L any higher, excellent craftsmanship and great value for money.
