« on: April 05, 2011, 10:53:31 AM »

New Laver Special Reserve 2.10oz with secondary drying process and in transit. Looks big and all reports says it goes very well off the mallet. Will add more when I receive it

I did thanks. It takes a day or two to start showing activity? Your SAF is in the air as we speak/type. Let me know once it arrives. So no more scats then? Laver all the way?

I have a run on bats at the moment it is Laver, probably at some stage will get a few SCATS as they are exceptional  bats and never had a bad one.

Yeah but if you can get a light cleft you can get that aswell but hey that's just me as I wonder about the shortened life due to the process but from the talk the performance increase may be worth it

Roco only a shorten life if you have one bat and it would be silly to buy one of these if it is your only bat. This bat will never see the inside of a net and will be used only in matches and probably not all matches.

Not the ugliest piece of timber. Surprised this falls into the 'Special' reserve category.

I guess no matter how light the cleft it can always be made lighter, if thats what your after.

Anyway, given the bat buying rate of most of the people on the forum I imagine they'll be pleased if a bat doesn't have too long a lifetime!

Some of us will have to stop knocking our bats in to justify buying so many!  ;)

The disappointment when an old favourite breaks is tempered by the thought of being able to justify buying something shiny and new.
