Thoughts?
Quite surprised myself, think he had a knee problem, no doubt the shoulder would hurt too. A bit like Shaun Tait in some respects..

I'm not surprised more and more players especially bowlers doing it as bodys can't handle the amount of cricket so with a choice they will choose the bigger pay day of one day cricket

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.

Disgraceful behaviour from a guy who I had a lot of respect for.
Granted that being from a poor 3rd world upbringing, the lure of the IPL cash is tempting.
But to act the way he has done by claiming he was injured\not injured\recovering\retired over the course of a week is disgraceful.
In his mind he'd rather hawk himself around to who will ever pay him the most for biff and giggle cricket rather than represent his country at the highest level.

Anyone else see the comparison with this and premiership football??? Players wanting to chase the cash rather than represent their county at the highest level. Shame as he is a joy to watch but I fear this is the way the sport is going with the lure of IPL cash.
