Albion, masuri or ayrtek
« on: April 09, 2011, 09:06:30 AM »

What helmets do people use, and what would be a good recommendation?
I myself use an Albion helmet but for some reason it doesn't take my fancy anymore, the velcro padding on my one is irritating!

Are ayrtek's the next best thing, or are Masuri's still the best out there? (i say that as they're the most worn) and what's the padding like inside the two?

As a 20 year Masuri owner I have to say that the Ayrtek is for me the best by some way.

The Masuri has a simple padding system, nothing wrong with it. The Ayrtek has the inflatable bladder system which gives me a better fit and more comfort, not had to check out the 300% increase in safety yet....

I use an Ayrtek. I think they are the best on the market and they are more widely accepted and dont stand out as much anymore

Bit late again, but I use an Ayrtek as well and love it. Top quality helmet and the ranks of pros starting to use them are an indication of their quality! :)
You could also get a mint custom spray :o ;)

Only thing to look out for is size. A few of us are big fellas and have problems with grill fit. Talk to Tom though and he'll be able to help.

I've used all three and can only echo comments already said. If you can afford an Ayrtek, it's definitely the way to go.
