Removing Stickers
« on: November 19, 2008, 09:03:43 PM »

Just looking for some advice, I have removed stickers from my bats, cleaned off the glue with white spirit. I now am left with the marks where the stickers were. any advice on how to remove these marks, I have applied oil to the area but you can still see where they were.

Many thanks

You are going to have to sand the marks off.... If you are worried about how much sanding it will take choose a small area and start with a course grit and see how it goes.

When think you've done enough and it is fairly faint, or you are if you are hand sanding, lightly oil it and it should blend it....

Make sure you don't get too much oil on the splice area mate, it can weaken the glue between splice and the 'V'.
