Sonning Cricket Club

Does anyone play for, or, know of this club? I ask as my mate Clint is over in the UK playing for them druing the Aussie off season.

yeh mate I play for Sonning. Played with Clint at the weekend. Had to give him out lbw  :-[

haha. We are struggling for bowlers this year so lots of people are having a go. I think the batsmen got so excited when he came on to bowl that they tried to hit it to hard and ended up getting themselves out  ;)

He is going alright at the moment. Got a few runs and has looked pretty good.

Been the same in the TVL for the last 15-20 years. Not enough bowlers because the decks are so bloody good and no-one wants to bowl :( . Spent 15 years at Marlow and it's soul destroying knowing even with a bit of swing and some turn, you'll still ship 250 no problems. No wonder there are some many good batsman in the TVL.

Plenty of spinners, just a lack of decent seamers.
