Do people think it would be a good move to switch the venue from Cardiff to Lords next year?

Yes, Cardiff shouldn't get any tests anyway in my opinion.

Actually, I would have thought that playing in Cardiff would be a huge advantage to the Windies. They're used to playing in front of empty stands, England aren't.

I think it's slightly unfair that the speculation is there as most places in the country would have struggled to stage 5 days of cricket over that week. I don't think that they should get the first test of the summer but why not give them one. We live in a multinational society after all.

The issue next summer is that because of the Olympics, there will be only 6 test matches and if there are 2 Lords games and a game at the Oval - then half the test matches will be in London - which even as a myopic champion of the 2 tests at Lords and a test at the oval every year can see is unfair on the rest of the country. In my view the fixture should go to the place where there is the highest possibility of a full ground for 4 days... and that wont be cardiff

Headingley or Old Trafford then.

Fitting it in at Lords given the archery use of the pitch is going to be na interesting one as well...

Even if it is not given to lords I still think that there are better places to hold a test that Cardiff. I am sure it is a tremendous stadium but surely there are places that can fill a ground better?
