Offside batting

Hi again guys. Thought I'd ask for a few tips my batting has always been very leg side orientated no joke in my 12 year career I think I've played 6-7 offside shots, I just really struggle with hitting the ball into that side.I coach and can play the shots but their is just some sort of block in a game that I just can't hit anything into the offside. Tips??

Sounds to me that you are predominately bottom hand heavy and potentially don't get your elbow high enough? Just guessing obviously, but next time you have a training session, get someone to feed you balls outside off, grip the bat with just top hand and make sure you get your elbow high. Make sure you get you head and front shoulder going towards the ball too. The more you do this repetitive practice the easier it'll become. Hope that helps.

Possibly close your stance up a little bit? that will make you play straighter and naturally will lead to more of your shots being on the offside

Thanks guys. Will give it a go cheers, think your right with the heavy bottom hand, don't no if this has come over years of just trying to hit it over the boundary every ball and not thinking about using the gaps in the field. As they say practise what you preach

Do you have any videos of your game play ? It might help us observe and pin point what we think is a problem.

Clear your mind, stay still and watch the ball

Check your grip, do you have both vs down the outside half of the the bat.
The other blocker to playing through the off side is your hip position. Try not to let your back foot pivot round through the shot.
